Slopeside, only a short walk to lifts, they try very hard to be great. The only problem is the loud snowmaking equipment. The noise could keep you up all night and the air is so dry you wake up d/t parched throat, not that that is their fault. Not all rooms have balconies which is a real downfall. Comfy bedding and soft blankets! Very nice bed!! Nice bath, NICE kitchen. A real down home kind of place to stay and well worth it !!! Nice staff also !!

We love staying at this resort. It is very low key and friendly, helpful staff. There is no where more convenient at Squaw--walk out back gate and ski to Red Dog Lift. Even the studio has a full kitchen and a fireplace. Highly recommend!

We recently stayed at The Red Wolf Lodge and loved it. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and inviting. The resort was close to everything, close enough that we shuttled in and had no need for a car. Can't wait for our next trip to Tahoe!

Our room was a 1 bedroom with lots of room. Very comfortable, and everything that we needed. The only problem is the loud snowmaking equipment. The resort needs to muffle the noise that could keep you up all night.

My room - or should I say apartment - at the Red Wolf Lodge at Squaw Valley was incredible! It was spacious, had a full kitchen, a living room, dining area, full bathroom and a closed-off bedroom, not to mention private deck with a view of the mountains.
While the room truly blew me away, the most impressive part is the location: the hotel sits at the base of Squaw Valley and is truly a ski-on, ski-off hotel.
Furthermore, the staff was courteous and very helpful.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Lake Tahoe.
