“Very Disappointing for the HIGH PRICE TAG!”

This place was one of the most disappointing places ever. Our snowboards got left in Las Vegas and we called the front desk when we arrived to notify them they would be delivered. When we called we noticed our phone was not working properly. The front desk does not notify you when you equipment arrives and just stores it in a locker which you have to go check hourly and hope it comes. WHO DOES THAT?! I would expect a phone call or delivery of equipment to the room. Once we noticed the phone did not work properly we called several times and no one ever came to fix it, cell service was limited and we were with another family making communication difficult. Then our locker where we were suppose to store our equipment did not open... and yes I know how to open a lock... and GUESS WHAT? No one ever addressed this issue once reported. Then we paid $1500 for 3 days in a ski-in ski-out private condo and EVERY MORNING @ 5AM large delivery trucks would arrive in the loading dock under our condo with loud beeping noises ALL MORNING, never could sleep in. I have travelled all over the world and would rate this one of the worst experiences ever. I wrote a lengthy email to the resort with no reply... they really lack any sort of customer service

Room Tip: Nothing near loading docks!

“Nice place.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

Very clean. Not used up yet, though the place is almost a decade old--still up to date. We had a great view of the mountain. Staff was friendly enough. Liked being right at the foot of the hill with the outdoor mall below. Stayed over T-Giving this past year, 2011.

Well stocked kitchens. Decent beds. My uncles unit had a tempurpedic. Ours did not. We rented from an owner, and he rented from the Village. I think he actually got a better deal.

Would recommend.

“Good hotel”

A very good hotel right at the lifts and close to a good range of restaurants in the village. We had a single bedroom suite which was very clean, well appointed and comfortable. Too bad we had a room overlooking the carpark - the great of the snow ploughs at night and very early morning becomes boring and annoying after the first five minutes. Given the quiet time in the resort, it would be surprising if quieter rooms weren't available. TV reception was terrible - especially when trying to watch the NFL!
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Underground parking is great!!!
The kitchen was not all that well equipped for a self catering room. We had to ask for several items to be brought to the room. We found the heating impossible to control to provide comfortable warmth.
Last year we rented one of these condos direct from the owner and it was in much better condition with very well equipped kitchen and even condiments and some supplies in the pantry and refidgerator. Would suggest direct renting as a much better option. See www.vrbo.com

Room Tip: Request a room facing the village, NOT the carpark.

“Convenient, Comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

My family stayed here after New Years in hopes of ski-in, ski-out at Squaw. The location was terrific. We easily could eat out in the village any time of day and walk to the slopes.

The unit was very nice and comfortable for 6 of us -- 4 teenage boys, my husband and I. We requested a unit with the second room having twin beds and brought an inflatable. The sofabed was awful and we just had one boy sleep on the couch itself. The master bed was fine as were the twinbeds. We were in unit 4315 -- 2 bed/2 bath.

These units are relatively new which was nice. Granite in the kitchen and baths. Appliances were all in working order in the full kitchen. It feels like you're in a full service hotel although you have a full condo.

There are many outdoor jacuzzis. My husband used the one overlooking the slopes and loved it. The weight room was small and unimpressive but had most of the basic stuff you'd need. I was expecting bigger since the property has so many units.

There were a few small issues with a sink and not having dish soap that we were able to resolve easily through the front desk.

I thought the price was ok, not great, but you pay more for ski-in/ski-out. Our bummer was there was hardly any snow at Squaw so my family chose to drive over to Northstar since more runs were open there. We would have skied at Squaw every day if this had been a "normal" winter vacation.

They had fresh baked cookies and cider in the lobby every day after 4pm. Yum!

“We love this place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

We love to stay at the Village when in the Tahoe area. Everything is withing walking distance: recreation, good restaurants, shopping, the mountain. We like to sit by the fireplace in the evening in the plaza. Some units are better than others.

Room Tip: We like to be on the plaza and people watch while still having a gorgeous mountain view.
