My trash was not emptied when i arrived...the bed was horrendous...too soft..the lighting in the room is terrible...basically the room should have been at least 50 dollars less than what it was...breakfast was less than continental...bagels and coffee...too expensive for what is offered

My family stayed over a weekend and found the room to be clean and comfortable. Overall the hotel was quiet and we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.

This was the 4th time we stayed at Casa Ojai, I was a little taken aback by the front desk reception we received. Not a smile in the house. We arrived about 1 :30 and were told they could not get us into our room till 2 pm or 2:30- some late cleaning problem- we noticed the cleaning gals cart at the opposite end of the building and for the remainder of the time we had to wait for the room we eventually were given- it never moved nor did any one go into the assigned room in the interim- the receptionist just did not want us to be able to check in early- on a very very slow saturday-
also, the tile bathroom really needs to be cleaned- looks like it is black and a little moldy-
On sunday- we had plans to meet some people atnd we asked for a little later check out- at 2:00 pm from the 12:00 time- the same girl said we could have an hour till 1:00 pm but if we stayed till 2:00 PM we would be charged an additional 1/2 day rate-
I have staryed at many of a Westin and Sheraton and 2 hours later does not deem a 1/2 day charge- disappointing to say the least-
Not sure if we will stay again- hopefully some one will read this and change their hospitality philosophy-

We've been staying here a couple of times a year for over 10 years. They recently implemented some much needed renovations to the bathrooms and heating/air units. They have a new "green" program which is a nice feature. No complaints. Nothing special but for the price, for the king size beds, and for the convenience, one of the best in Ojai. You'll get more at the fancier places in town, but you will also pay more for them. Good place for families too.
