Having read the mixed reviews we were pleasantly surprised on arrival to find a newly decorated and extremely clean hotel. Our room was beautiful, comfortable bed with a down comforter and really nice bed linens. The staff were friendly and greeted us warmly, and the included breakfast was excellent. Cereals, fruit, yogurt, muffins, bagels, waffles, eggs & sausage. We often arrived for breakfast during the final half hour and the breakfast selection was the same as if we had been the first to arrive. Excellent value for money!

My husband and I stayed here for one night and we can not wait to go back! The location of the hotel was perfect. With a short walking distance(about 15 mins) to the train terminal, we were able to get checked in on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, and catch the Coaster down to Del Mar Race track all before 1st post. The staff was wonderful and the room was newly remodeled and very comfortable. Their complimentary breakfast is by far better than most other hotels. There are multiple bread and pastry options, juices, coffee, waffles, eggs with cheese and sausage links(which were delicious). The entire trip was a very positive experience and we will definitely stay here everytime!

Since my wife signed us up for a "timeshare presentation" that gave us three nights and four days in Oceanside I did my research on this establishment since this is where the timeshare people were putting us up. I will admit that I was a little hesitant after reading some of the reviews on this motel. Well I must say that I found this motel, at least our room, to be quite nice. It was clean, had a fridge and microwave. I didn't find any of the negatives quoted in some of the other reviews. There was no outside noise disturbance. The parking was good. The lobby area was nice and clean. We did have the motel's breakfast one morning. It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst we've ever had. The breakfast had the usual fruit, yougart, waffle and ceral. Nothing special. I would stay at this location again.

My husband and I were extremely disappointed with the run-down condition of this hotel. The first thing I noticed when we checked was that the wallpaper in the hallways was ripped and coming off of the walls. When we entered our room, the air was stale and over perfumed. We had to open a window in order to breathe. Later that evening when I showered I noticed wallpaper curling up around the shower stall. When I looked behind several strips, I found mold. When I pulled back the comforter, the sheets were extremely wrinkled - like none I had ever seen. I reported these concerns to the front desk and was told that the manager would be notified. That's as far as it went; I never heard from the manager or anyone else. I will never return to the Oceanside Comfort Suites.
