I stayed here New Years Eve, and stayed an extra day. Great location, quiet, and very clean. I would stay again.

Made online reservations for Thanksgiving day for one night. Online system was clear, concise, easy to navigate and showed us everything we needed to know. We have a little dog and the hotel welcomes pets. The day before Thanksgiving we received a final confirmation email letting us know driving directions AND THE WEATHER FORCAST FOR THE FOLLOWING 5 DAYS!!! Kudos for that little extra bit of care. Check in is 3:00pm but I arrived about 2:15pm. Jose' who was on the desk happily checked me in and gave me my Wi-Fi code. Nice! I immediately noticed that the hotel not only looked clean, but it smelled clean as well. The floors were spotless, the carpeting vacuumed, glass windows and doors clean and employees friendly, smiling and happy!! I hadn't been involved in a hotel arrival like that in a very long time.
I hadn't stayed in a La Quinta for years and the last time was a disaster so of course I was leery about staying there especially in Oceanside, Ca. and the hotel being next door to Camp Pendleton Marine Base. We were visiting relatives in Oceanside for Thanksgiving and the La Quinta was very convienient for us. Being a veteran of the Navy and Marine Corps, I was fully aware of how motels and hotels usually were next to military installations. La Quinta Oceanside changed my opinion.
The king sized bedroom was as spotless as the rest of the hotel. Although a little sparse, the room contained everything one needed. The room also had a 2 burner cooktop, microwave, 18cu. ft. fridg., plates, cups and utensils should one want to use them, a Sharp 42" flat screen LCD tv, DirecTv with HBO, lg. closet with ironing board and iron and lg. bathroom.
We would have liked to see a few more soaps in the bathroom, but that wasn't so important. The hotel was quiet, the king sized bed very comfy, there were plenty of pillows and we actually got a good nights sleep.
The breakfast in the morning was better than most places I've stayed and for double the price! Eggs, biscuits, bacon, sausage, waffles, great coffee etc.

Has La Quinta changed my mind, DEFINETELY! Will I stay at La Quinta's again while traveling? If they are as good as the La Quinta Oceanside, Ca. I will!!!

p.s. Each floor has a spotless snack, drink, ice and washer/dryer room.

We stayed at the La Quinta motel in April of 2010. We were pleased with the room and service then so we decided to stay there again this time around and were not disappointed. Turned out they overbooked our room but we were upgraded to what I expect was a similar room but larger. The room was clean and comfortable as was the bathroom.

We had a wedding to attend in San Clemente. This hotel was the best location for our family to stay to see the sights and visit family. The breakfast was good, better than corporate owned hotels. We had 2 rooms and both were clean and everything worked. We enjoyed our trip.
