“Amazing beach vacation!”

Every Christmas we leave our mt resort community and visit a different beach location from our time share exchange. This was by far the best trip ever! I loved the set up of the 1 bedroom- lots of room, clean and not too dated decoration, no beach wear and tear that we have experienced in other locations. Great fishing right from the shore- caught fish within 10 minutes. Close to many locations, never used the car at all. Went to farmers market, carmicles pizza on coast highway is a must (they gave us free dessert pizza both times we went) The staff basically leaves you alone unless you need anything- and then they were quick to respond. I am soooo sad that our exchange company changed, and they are no longer on our list.

Room Tip: corner on top floor is the best- we were in room 5- would suggest one level up so you do not hear pe...

“I will return”

My husband and I were in Oceanside for the arrival of my son from Afghanistan. So, we had booked the 2 bedroom suite. Ended up having to extend out our stay by an additional two days and moved into the one bedroom. Both are well worth the money. We could not have asked for a nicer location and the attention to detail the maintenance staff puts into their effort is amazing. The grounds are well kept and the pool is not over chlorinated. The train whistle is a bit loud if the windows are open but they used quality doors/windows and you can't hardly hear them at night. We really hope to make another trip out to visit my son and if we do we will return to Aquamarine.

“Excellent for the $”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2011

We felt we could live there for months. Full kitchen, dining room, living room, bedroom and bath. Very clean. Tastefully decorated - a little dated but I saw in the lobby that they are refurbishing the entire building later this year. The building is positioned so that the Amtrack had minimal impact at night. My husband has trouble walking so they put us on the first level but with a view of the ocean. I hope we can go back again. Booked through Craigslist - a late cancellation for a timeshare owner. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. I noticed that the other reviews are from 6 years ago and from our experience, no longer are accurate.

“Oceanside Get Away”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2011

What a great place to Vacation , for us it was just a two hours ride to splender by the Sea and just a 30 minute drive to Mission Bay San Deigo.
This was a great value and the pool was prisitine,. I would definately reccommend this complex to both familys and couples alike. We plan to book again next year

We loved the condo and its vicinity to all the attractions down at the beach.

“Wonderfully comfortable in spite of the coastal train”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2010

We've just returned from a wonderful stay at Aquamarine Villas (AMV) from Dec. 20 to 27, booked through RCI. We stayed in an upstairs corner one-bedroom suite with views of the ocean from the cozy living room with fireplace (that we didn't use) and its balcony; and from the open kitchen/dining area. From the bedroom we could see the ocean and the long Oceanside pier. (The restaurant "Ruby's" is at the end of the pier.) The AMV staff was friendly, welcoming, and fabulous. Kudos to Danielle, the hospitable manager, who answered our questions, recommended local sights and eateries, and arranged an early check-in for our adult children who stayed in a two-bedroom suite over the weekend. Kudos also to Kris, housekeeping manager, for the clean rooms and her and her staff's readiness to supply us with extra towels and blankets, and other arrangements. Perhaps because it's a small complex, Aquamarine Villas offered special touches that we have not found in our own timeshare at a large Eastern resort. The table was set for two when we arrived; all it needed was a candle in the middle for a romantic dinner. As in a hotel, a basket of shampoo, conditioner, and lotion were in the bathroom as well as a jar of cosmetic pads and Q-tips. Housekeeping came everyday (but Xmas) for trash and to replace any towels (if needed). We appreciated having free wireless and the help of a staff member to get our laptop set up. The attentiveness of the staff at this small "resort" also was a big advantage over staying at our own timeshare.

After 3 days of rain and lots of good reading, the sun came out and we enjoyed frequent walks to the pier, town, and the tiny harbor. As for the frequent trains that run along the Coast (not just at Oceanside), the tracks are about a half a block away but we quickly got used to their sound, and found our entire stay to be wonderfully comfortable.
