It's a bit far out to serve as a base for a Bay Area trip, but we used it that way successfully. We were surprised to find this was almost the only, and certainly the cheapest, good alternative for a suite that would manage four adults and two small children, with two queen beds and a sleeper sofa, in the East Bay. We needed that for an extended-family vacation, and that's why we chose it. The hotel is clean, quiet, and up to date, and the personnel were always friendly and helpful. They have a security guard at night, and we never had any trouble with our car, which can definitely be an issue at other places in the Bay Area. The included breakfast was okay: eggs consistently overcooked, but for the price we were very pleased with what was provided. We didn't make use of most of what the hotel could offer, but it served our needs on this trip. We couldn't understand the complaints about the location on the part of one reviewer: yes, it's out in the sticks, but we had no difficulties with it's surroundings or finding the entrance.

This place always makes me feel like home because of the staff. The owner will talk to you and spend time with you. We watched the basketball game together. Rooms are clean and great. They also have a shuttle service. Great place to stay!

hotel was in excellent condition and staff was superb from the time we checked in until we checked out. Breakfast was surprisingly good.

The service begins when you come through the door of this hotel. Each time I have been greeted at the counter with a positive person. I also like the fact that they discuss your options for the lowest price. I have also been surprised by the upgrades I have received without asking.
