I booked a room for my relative who visited me. I picked him up from the Oakland Airport, and thats when I noticed how close and convenient it was to just book a room for him here. The staff was helpful, the price was right, and the rooms were large and clean. The WiFi worked well in the room as well as by the pool. And the best part was that they have a 24 hour shuttle, which meant I didnt have to wake up early and drop him off at the airport, they took care of it.

I stayed here while checking out some Bay Area schools. The best feature is the enclosed shower; the worst, no exhaust fan in the bathroom. The Wi-Fi password was changed during my stay, they didn't bother to inform the guests when this happened; I got the new one, and had no trouble connecting. The area is safe enough for Oakland; hoodlums tend to hang out closer to the fast food joints. The Italian restaurant across the street is great, but the on site restaurant could be better, although they are nice. The mold was cleaned the day I reported it. I took BART to the gym in Hayward. The bus runs regularly on Hegenberger, so getting around without a car is easy. 'Fridges in the room, and a microwave in the breakfast area limited my restaurant needs. The bed was a pillowtop, too soft. I'm Papa Bear, I sleep on rocks. LOL The decor in rooms is far from glamorous. Overall, a very convenient stay, I'd return.

We flew from GDL,Mexico to Oakland for the weekend for an NFL Game, we arrived late night and the hotel shuttle came to pick us up for free, you just have to call them. The hotel is well located for this kind of trips (Oracle arena or Coliseum events) and night stays for an early flight. You can also select this hotel as a cheap alternative to a San Francisco hotel, it has a $5.00 FEE per room to take you to the Coliseum BART station, where you can take a direct train to San Francisco a trip that takes just 30 mins.

The rooms and bathroom are big, the TV is big but old, the furniture is discrete, not very old nor new. It has an inviting pool it is relatively big. The room carpet need to be cleaned more often, I think that the big downturn of this hotel is cleanliness, but I can´t say it is dirty, just not as clean as it can be.

Plenty of parking, that is free for the hotel guests. The guys that work here are very helpful all the time.

WI-FI works perfectly everywhere in the hotel.

I booked and paid for the room on hotels.com. When I got to the room, I was immediately struck with a very strong odor of cleaning chemicals. There was no way I could breathe those chemicals all night. They gave me another room -- same overpowering chemical odors (highly concentrated Pine Sol). I left, but they refused to refund my money!
