“Consistently good!”

We have stayed at the Best Western Yosemite Gateway Inn several times over the past twenty years. We always stay in a two room family suite and have found it to be clean and comfortable for a night or two on the way to Bass Lake or Yosemite. The hotel staff are friendly and always accommodate our family and Newfoundland dogs. The family suites have a small 'kitchen' with refrigerator and microwave, a patio or deck and enough room to find a bit of privacy. For the price, this Best Western is hard to beat if Oakhurst is your layover point.

I agree with other reviewers, the restaurant is terrible. The customer service is so bad the quality of the food is superfluous. I can't imagine it is still open.

“Clean and cozy”

It was a clean room and it was cozy. The bed was comfortable and the shower was okay. Internet was pretty good too. Its about an hour and a half drive to the park so I don't feel that its a good base to visit the park.

Overall, its an average Best Western, I don't necessarily think it deserves the plus though.

“Great accommodation near Yosemite!”

What a beautiful part of the world. From the moment I stepped into the lobby I knew this was the perfect stay.
We had 4 adults and 2 children. Stayed in e family suite right up the back of the property...steep hill.
Room was fantastic. 2 separate rooms with bathroom in the middle. Balcony looking out over the valley.
Pools both indoor and outdoor used and great to cool off in.
We had a wonderful stay. However, we did find the check in and check out staff aloof and not at all friendly. Hardly a smile of welcome. Something that is so important in the industry. Despite this we would stay again.

Lovely situated BW near Yosemite. We enjoyed the quiet and the balcony. Perfect for those of us that travel with a dog. Found a great BBQ place across street and down about a block.

“Enjoyed this quirky place.”

Chose BW Yosemite Gateway as our pitstop between Sequoia NP and Yosemite. This was different from other BW we have stayed at on our trip,as it has very individual decor. It seems the hotel is completely decorated by artworks, there was even a mural in our kids' bedroom in our family unit. The rooms are a bit dated, but very clean and comfortable. Our room was right at the back of the large grounds, so very quiet. The wifi was useless.. We ate at the restaurant twice and the food was pretty good. The so called continental breakfast (off a menu) was huge. It was way more than continental, we had eggs, bacon, pancakes, toast and fruit! The staff were lovely, both at the restaurant and in. Reception. We didn't get a chance to use the other facilities, but would stay here again if we get back to Yosemite.
