I stayed here as i couldn't get into (or couldn't afford) the accommodations in the park. Oakhurst is a largish town with all the amenities you need and is 14 miles from the Yosemit Park border. I missed the entrance to the 'Inn' as it is down a narrow driveway but a sign ahead told me i had missed it!!! Driving down, it is more like a motel than the inns i had stayed at but the rooms were nicer and the atmosphere more 'inn-like' than a motel.

The room was cosy (HUGE BED!), clean and the bathroom was wonderful with all the things you could need. There was a fridge, iron and bath stuffs available and there was a private deck out back with seating. There was also AC in the room (nosiy but much needed) Breakfast was basic but it was all i needed to get on with the morning.

Had dinner in the steakhouse up the drive way. Slightly strange as all my courses came out at once but the food was good and the staff friendly!

All in all, it was a good base for seeing Yosemite and the area, but don't expect the host interaction you usually get at a privately owned inn

After reading all of the reviews on Trip Advisor, we were really looking forward to staying here. Driving down the driveway (which we almost missed) we thought we had the wrong place. It looked like a motel. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable except we both banged our toes on the bedrame which sticks out. There was nowhere to put any toiletries in the bathroom and no dresser in the BR. My husband had to go to the office twice after we arrived to get the TV to work. We were hoping to leave for Yosemite after having coffee and the continental breakfast provided at 7:30 however the person in charge had nothing ready to almost 8:00
which delayed us. Next day he was ready at 7:30. It was an ok place to stay but not worth the money. Wine bar is not open every day. Check before you reserve.

We stayed here for 2 nights on our way to Yosemite the accomodations were good! I will say that the pictures shown on the website do give the impression that the rooms are cozier that they actually were....It was the lighting of the shots. (a little disappointed) There was a nice seating area by the creek (not a lake/river) with trees and silence...which was a great for relaxing after our first day of hiking at at the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias (amazing)! It was also a few minutes drive to Bass Lake where we enjoyed dinner and Jazz on the lake. After our final restfull night of sleep we headed off to enjoy yosemite. It is an hour drive away but a beautiful scenic one! Overall I would recommend the Queens Inn!

Go there! find their web site and call them... You Will not regret the time spent to do so. The Inn is really nice and quiet, the owners are amazing... A good place to stop. The room was quite large, We had a wonderful king size bed (finally) and a nice patio on the back. If you like wine you Will be in for a treat, there is in fact an excellent winebar connected to the Inn (ask for opening days).
