Stayed one night. Paper thin walls, could hear other guests loud heater as well as ours all night long, heaters sounded like a semi truck starting up. Same for the fan in the bathroom, noisy to say the least! Not conducive to a good nights sleep. The bed was a king like I had requested, but very worn out, the sides slopped outward from the middle feeling almost like you could slide off, and this was on both sides of the bed. The complimentary continental breakfast was sufficient except that the waffle maker was broken. Easy on and off freeway, restaurant unattached, across the parking lot, reasonable food and beverages. Large screen LG TV was the only plus to our stay while watching the 49er game. Very smelly outside related to landscaping projects, had to hold your breath when walking to the car.

We stayed for a couple nights (again -- our 4th or 5th stay) recently. Location is perfect for visiting relatives in the area. Although very conveniently located off the 101, the freeway traffic noise is not a problem. The front desk staff is always very friendly, polite, and helpful. The continental breakfast setup is normal fare but you can make your own Belgian waffles (liked the maker so much, I found and bought one). For those with fast-food tastes, a Burger King is right across the street but I suggest walking over for lunch or dinner to the fantastic WildFox restaurant that's on the property. You won't be disappointed! The chef puts some nice (and sometimes extraordinary) touches on the menu. All-in-all, this is a very good mid-range hotel that's sure to please. We only had one complaint this time which was their landscaping project with its accompanying smells (we couldn't really use our balcony but the smell did not permeate our room). We would not only stay here again but would recommend it wholeheartedly.

I stayed only one night (darn!) at this nice hotel, but was treated like an A-List celeb! The front desk personnel were friendly and helpful, and when my room wasn't quite ready, offered to keep my luggage until it was. They warned me that there was some work being done on the roof, even though my room was on the first floor and was (as it turned out) only minimally affected. The room was really lovely and quite comfortable; I didn't want to leave in the morning -- and I didn't have to! Check out time is noon! But first I had a great Continental breakfast, complete with Starbucks coffee. A great stay. I highly recommend the Novato Oaks Inn.

We stayed two nights at the Novato Oaks Inn as we were racing at nearby Infineon Raceway. There was a small problem with a smokey room upon check-in (this was designated a non-smoking room) but one call to the front desk and a young man was at our door step. He offered to move us but we politely declined as all of our bags were unpacked. There was also a problem with the wall air conditioned/heater. In the middle of the night it set off the smoke detector (boy was that loud!)and woke the three of us up. It smelled like burning wires. I am going to defend the hotel here. This is the third hotel in which this has happened with these wall units (Atwater and Davis were the others). The hotels that use these wall mounted units should re-think their use.

Now for the good news: The entire staff were attentive and happy. This makes a huge difference when approaching the front desk. There is no reason not to smile when operating a hotel. It really sets the mood. The bathrooms were clean, the room was clean, and the Novato Oaks Inn makes a good impression overall. I would definitely stay here again and again!
