“Scary and awful experience, i was being harrased over the phone!!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2009

I had never experience something like this.. i was in this hotel for 4 days 3 nights. And the first night i was there i received a phone call harrasing me,,, telling me how they were always watching me trough their camaras and all this diferent [--],,!! when i called the front desk to ask them where the call had come from, they said they had transfer a call from another room. When i ask them if there was any way we could know which room was that, they said that unfortunatly the guy from the front desk didn't pay attention the room number where he received the call asking him to transfer to my room.
Thank God it didn't get worst the situation even though i was freaking out my whole stay. This people aren't doing their job too good by making their customers feel secure in their hotel. Even though the room wasn't bad at all i would never come back to this hotel anymore. I personally did't have a good experience.!

“The rudest front desk clerk I've ever encountered”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 April 2009

My husband and I stayed at the Comfort Inn in Norwalk for regular business trips for the past 15 or 20 years. We've probably been at the hotel 40 or more times. We came home from a trip to Costa Rica and checked in Sunday afternoon for a one night stay so my husband could do some buying for our store before we left Monday. I had contracted food poisoning in Costa Rica right as we were leaving and was terribly sick. When we arrived at the Comfort Inn in Norwalk, they refused to allow us to check in before 3:00pm, although it was 2:30pm when we arrived. We had to drive around for 30 minutes in the area before we were allowed to take the room. The desk clerk had absolutely no sympathy whatsoever for our situation.

The next morning my husband left to do his buying and told me he would be back around noon to pick me up with our luggage. At 11:30 the phone rang and the front desk clerk, the same woman from the day before, told me that I needed to get out of the room. She said I was 30 minutes past checkout time and I needed to get out immediately or be charged for another day. I said I was sick and expecting my husband within the next half an hour. She said that wouldn't do - I had to get out now. I got up, packed our things, and shoved them out onto the sidewalk in front of our room. I went to the front desk and said I have never stayed in a place where I was treated so rudely and without an ounce of care. We travel quite a bit for both business and pleasure and we have stayed in upscale and regular hotels and motels around the world. We have NEVER had a hotel refuse to allow an extra hour, especially for someone who has food poisoning. I was so angry at her that I cussed her out, then went back to my luggage. I waited there for my husband while the maids walked past, smirking at me.

I'm 53 and my husband is 63 years old. If they treat us this badly, after we have stayed there year in and year out, how are they going to treat you? By the way, I called Choice Hotels and they said they were sorry, but each Comfort Inn is individually owned and there is nothing they can or will do about it. It meant absolutely NOTHING to them that they had a repeat customer with over 40 stays in their hotel, standing outside a room, sick. I was calling from my cell phone and they could have chosen to do something about it, but it meant nothing to them.

“The dirtiest and noisiest place I've ever stayed...”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 May 2008

We crashed at this place on the way to San Diego. It was 2:30 a.m. and we were dead-tired and had been driving for more than 6 hours after a full day's work. We pulled off the freeway at Norwalk and it was the first place we saw. After checking in and getting into the room, I could tell right away that the carpet was very dirty. We could barely get to sleep because the walls were paper-thin and it sounded like our next-door-neighbors were either throwing a ball against the wall in rapid succession, or were twirling something that made a lot of noise! Next morning, I can see that the place is absolutely filthy; the walls are stained, so is the shower, and I was right in my initial impression of the carpet -- it's GROSS!!! I told my husband that we had to get out of there right away -- that I felt like I needed a flea dip or to incinerate all my clothes! I am NOT a snob, I have stayed at plenty of motels, but cleanliness is a MUST!!!

  • Disliked — It was dirty, dirty, dirty!!!!

“Mediocre hotel, mediocre price. an average value”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 November 2007

Decent check in, room was average cleanliness, but the bedding was a bit substandard in my opinion, the pillows were horribly flat, and the carpet felt very dirty. The restroom had signs of mildew in the corners, and the coffeepot was in the restroom, which I always hate when certain hotels do that. Plus, the coffee maker decanter was dirty-white from calcium stains. Oh, and one last thing, the TV didn't seem to have many channels.. Maybe 10 at most...

The room was quiet though, the location was great, it's a decent hotel, and after my most recent prior hotel stay, which I wrote a review about in henderson, NV, this place was like heaven.

  • Liked — The service was reasonable, the internet worked great, the location is convenient
  • Disliked — The mildew in restroom, and the poor quality bedding, mainly the pillows.

“Nice Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 March 2007

Just stayed for 4 nights at the Comfort Inn in Norwalk,CA. Was close to the freeway, so there was a little noise from that but it didn't keep me awake. Nice rooms, pool was clean. Comfortable beds, very clean bathroom. Shower worked great. Free breakfast was very good, good selection of food. Some of the parking area was used up by some big trucks. Close to many places to eat, Wal-Mart across the street. Very pleased with my stay.

  • Liked — free breakfast
  • Disliked — too many big trucks taking up space in the parking lot
