“Nice, clean, large condos”

We stayed here through an RCI point exchange. Condos are very large (2-bedroom). There are lots of stairs, so..if you can't climb, don't go. Very, very clean.
We just stayed here didn't fish, swim, etc.. Took day trips out every day to all areas of Northern CA.
We were disappointed there were so many "trailer parks" around the lake. Small motels and mostly none of them very nice. I really felt like I had stepped back in time..maybe 1950?

WorldMark seems like the only really nice place in the area.

We traveled to the Redwood Nat'l Park one day and the trees are something to see! Don't miss they in your life time!

“Great Fishing & Wine Tasting Getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 September 2005

Although Clear Lake is not 'clear', it's shallow and the north end of the lake is full of reeds and grasses....perefect for fishing! The southern end of the lake is more for water skiing and other water sports. In my teens I spent many weekends and summers there. It has since grown in population with more summer homes and retirement areas. What HAS changed is the increasing number of small, quality wineries around the lake......overflowing from the better known counties for wine......Napa, Sonoma and Medocino. Clear Lake is a recreational lake for families and sportsmen. There are small populated areas all around the lake with the largest for shopping and services in nearby Lakeport or in the city of Clearlake. The is NOT a place for someone who wants to shop at fancy boutiques, upscale restaurants and antique shops. This is not Palm Springs, Vail, CO., or Las Vegas, NV. This is more of a sportsman's paradise and very family friendly.

This property is wonderful......facing the lake, nice pool and spa, workout room, quiet.........if you want to avoid boats and watercraft in the parking lot, try coming off seaon and not during the summer months.

We thoroughly enjoyed this property and brought our boat, met nice people and a friendly, helpful staff......and had lots of fish to eat as well as share with others. We'll definitely be back! I suggest you do your research online prior to booking any property for a stay. Checkout surrrounding areas and make note of restaurants and places you want to visit. Those who claim the location is poor, is obviously not a sportsman! ~

We stayed here for just two nights, but they were great. They staff was terrific and the room was great. We even had some Ducks come and "Visit" a few times while we were there.

We are looking forward to going back again

“Great Resort, Poor Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2005

We stayed at this resort in July 2004. Our one bedroom unit was ground level facing the pool. Amenities were nice. Fullly equipped kitchen, t.v. stereo cd player. Queen bed in bedroom comfortable and trundle queen in family room very nice. The trundle folded up into wall when not used, a more comfortable bed then your typical hide a bed in the couch. The pool was nice, staff courteous and friendly. They did offer activities ie. wine tasting from local wineries in the lobby, vendors for day trips around the area etc. Another great treat was the units own natural gas grill, no propane tanks to run out.

The negatives of the resort was the parking. spaces were taken up by boats, trailers, and other forms of watercraft. If you returned to the condo late you more than likely will have to park along curbing or in a spot far away from your unit. Also clear lake is very large and very shallow. Lots af algae bloom which gave off a very strong ammonia-like smell. If you think you will be close to Napa and Sedona, think again. You are on the north side of the lake and have to travel around the lake and south to get to Napa. It doesn't look far on the map but the road to Napa is very snake like with speed limits of 30-35mph. Time to drive to Calistoga was about 1 to 1 1/2 hours. There is nothing around the town of Nice. You must drive 1-2 hours for shopping etc. there is a supermarket in nice. Nice is not a quaint shopping town if thats what your looking for.

We've stayed at Worldmark Clearlake numerous times. Excellent property right on the lake w/boating access etc. Accommodations are excellent as well...very spacious condos with all the amentities you could think of. Lots of activities...pool, workout room, game room etc. Fantastic location to go visit Wine Country..both Napa and Sonoma. Also great location for Konocti Harbour events, casinos, antiquing and even visiting the Redwoods. Close to grocery store & restaurants.
