“Relaxing Enjoyable Weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Everything about this property is just great! The location is ideal for a weekend getaway and the staff is unobtrusively pleasant. There are numerous dining and shopping venues available. You can also just rent a bike and drive along side of the protected wetlands area. Here's a hint: if you like oatmeal, the coffee shop serves it with a great assortment of fruit and other additives. No need to order a separate fruit cup. Had a great time!

Room Tip: Our room looked over the wetlands and it had a great view and was quiet.

“Nice Lobby and Bar.. But that't it!”

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights this past weekend and got a good deal on priceline for a 4 star hotel. There was nothing 4 star about this hotel. The lobby was re-done as was the bar/lounge area, which was very nice. Once I walked into the room in the main building, I was disgusted. There was a musty smell, the furniture was worn and the wood split, and it was dark and dreary. The floors were so thin, I could hear the person above me walking around at 6am. Definitely not what I expected from a Hyatt Regency.. The one bright side was the staff was very friendly and helpful!

The rooms on this property are badly out of date; something I would expect at an interstate motel that is 50 years old. While the common grounds are nice (lobby, bar), and the staff is excellent, the actual lodgings (and I had two rooms in my stay) made me wish I'd opted for a Courtyard Marriot at the airport - seriously.
My first room was cramped, dark (one light), no working outlets at the desk and a broken desk chair. I could probably have dealt with it as I was only there for one night - I could not have worked in the space but the lobby was nice enough to camp out until I had to go back to go to sleep, but the room itself was in what appeared to be a remodeled motel with exterior facing doors, and the side of the building I was on looked out over an ally with access up to the rooms. As a female alone I felt quite unsafe, which is not what I would expect to feel at this price point and at a Hyatt.
My second room was in the main building and was bigger, but still boasted the same out of date fixtures and furniture. I'm quite serious when I say that I would have had a more comfortable stay at any Hilton Garden Inn or Courtyard. This property isn't even up to those standards.

Room Tip: Insist on the main building -everything else is subpar motel quality

“Not very enjoyable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

Stayed only 1 night for a meeting- glad it was only one. Staff is VERY helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is just really average. Biggest complain was NOISE- I am a very sound sleeper - not here. You could here people walking outside the front door- opening the drapes in the unit next door!!! The room was clean just not very exciting- TV didn't work well - basic channels were fuzzy. The bathroom- strange!?!!?!? The door was like a door to the outside or something- they upgraded me to a BAY VIEW- that was lovely. Just really didn't enjoy the stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a bay view room if not an upgrade!

“Great grounds and staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

After going out for a couple of drinks the valet guy (we did not even valet) popped our popcorn in their microwave. No microwave in rooms. Rooms clean, but nothing special. Grounds on the other hand are beautiful! Nice running track along back bay. I would stay here again and hope to this summer.
