Stayed here in January with Family. First off, the general grounds are impeccably maintained. The area is actually more beautiful in person. Pictures do not do it justice. There are some beautiful outdoor gas grills scattered throughout the complex. There are plently of nice grassy nooks with chairs to just sit and gaze off into the pacific. The gym facilities were adequate, and could be crowded at times. The pool was very nice, but a bit cold (it was January). Never had any problems getting a chair by the pool or a chair anywhere. They have some decent happy hour specials at the pool bar. Nice place to watch the sunset. We walked from our unit down to crystal cove beach. A nice 15 minute walk to get the beach. In terms of the unit, they are spacious enough. The master bathroom having the sinks open to the bedroom area was sort of strange. I really enjoyed the huge shower with the nozzles on either side of the shower. The beds were extremely comfortable and linens above average. There was no light on the patio, which was strange (bring some candles and set the mood). There were not a lot of dining options on site, but there is a general store that has a lot of pre-made items, and you can order food at the pool area. The food was actually really good. Overall, the place reminded me of an upscale condo complex with a few extra amenities. Completely worth it is you are traveling with a group or with children.
