“Very Nice”

Stayed here in January with Family. First off, the general grounds are impeccably maintained. The area is actually more beautiful in person. Pictures do not do it justice. There are some beautiful outdoor gas grills scattered throughout the complex. There are plently of nice grassy nooks with chairs to just sit and gaze off into the pacific. The gym facilities were adequate, and could be crowded at times. The pool was very nice, but a bit cold (it was January). Never had any problems getting a chair by the pool or a chair anywhere. They have some decent happy hour specials at the pool bar. Nice place to watch the sunset. We walked from our unit down to crystal cove beach. A nice 15 minute walk to get the beach. In terms of the unit, they are spacious enough. The master bathroom having the sinks open to the bedroom area was sort of strange. I really enjoyed the huge shower with the nozzles on either side of the shower. The beds were extremely comfortable and linens above average. There was no light on the patio, which was strange (bring some candles and set the mood). There were not a lot of dining options on site, but there is a general store that has a lot of pre-made items, and you can order food at the pool area. The food was actually really good. Overall, the place reminded me of an upscale condo complex with a few extra amenities. Completely worth it is you are traveling with a group or with children.

“Lovely place to stay!”

Our family of four, including two teenagers, enjoyed our 4-night stay in a two bedroom suite. But we have a daughter and a son, so one had to sleep on the sofabed, which had a terrible mattress. You know the bed is bad when a teenager says it's bad!

Other than that, the suite was lovely, and the property is very conveniently located, within walking distance to a beach. I would stay there again, but not if we bring both kids, because I wouldn't want one of them to have to sleep on that awful sofabed again. They really, really need to update those sofabeds.

“Beautiful views and friendly staff.”

Stayed here the week of January 15, 2012 in a 2 bedroom suite. Lots of room, clean with a lovely view. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the amenities were top notch. The only complaint I have is that the hideaway bed mattress is terrible, would not even be comfortable for a child. Would definately stay again.

“Great location, great suite, great facilities, it's great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

This is a terrific facility. It is well located, situated with an unrestricted ocean view, modern, well furnished, and very well maintained.
We had a two bedroom, two bath, suite. There were three of us but as many as five or possibly six could have been accommodated adequately.
The exercise facilities, pools and grounds are universally superior.
A slight complaint; there is no on site restaurant but many are nearby.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor (fourth floor max) and an ocean view.

“One of the finest Marriott properties anywhere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

One of the finest vacation properties I've ever stayed at -- this one has it all. Situated on the beautiful Newport Coast, one of the finest stretches of California coast. The villas offer beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean and close proximity to the wonderful Crystal Cove State Park, one of the last stretches of pristine coast. We love going for walks on the beach, exploring the tide pools, the pelicans flying by overhead, the dolphins swimming by. The property has lovely and very comfortable two bedroom suites and other great amenities, like a large fitness room, multiple swimming pools, tennis courts, park, etc. The staff is always helpful and friendly, and the location puts you in the heart of Orange county, with all its fine shopping, dining and tourist activities.

We are owners of a timeshare at this resort and enjoy going back year after year. It's the most restful and pleasant time we have. and I know that everyone will enjoy their time here.

Room Tip: All of the villas we've stayed at are nice. I'm not sure you can go wrong with any of them.
