NEVER EVER GO TO THIS HOTEL.
I booked the presidential suite, suposed to be the best suite they have.They told me arnold swarziniger stayed there for a month while filming.
The room has old scratched furniture, explained to me that people rent it for marties and dont take care of it!!!
The jacuzzi and AC were not working.There was only two towels and I ordered Virgin margarita to be available in the room upon arrival instead we had champagne ad tey knew i dont drink alcohol.
i paid for breakfast in advance and in the morning they said i had to pay for breakfast and it was oly cleared after i called the manager !!!
NEVER GO THERE

Everything was fine -- very average hotel. The room we were in was older, but no issues there. We were able to adjust our AC to our liking. Comfortable bed. The lobby and public areas are huge and pretty - the rooms are clean although the bathroom was very cramped. Our toilet had a slow leak, as we heard it refilling itself every 15 minutes or so. Although the bathroom was well lit I felt like I was showering in the dark. Wall were a little thin. I usually take pictures of the rooms I go to but there wasn't anything fantastic or glaring about the place.

Area: There are a lot of middle eastern/east asian restaurants across the street and a Carl's Jr.

if you are a non smoker, make sure you ask if all rooms in your vicinity are non smoking rooms. My room was non smoking but the room next to me was smoking. Must have checked in late and I began to smell smoke all night. Called to make sure as I couldn't imagine anyone actually putting a smoking room right next to a connected non smoking room and they said yes that it was just designed that way.
My wife was already asleep, but I was up all night with a headache.
Beyond comprehension.

The Newark Hilton provides good value for business travelers in the area north of San Jose. The property is a combination of a tower and 2-3 story wing with park near your door rooms. A nice pool, workout room, meeting rooms, restaurant and comfortable bar are all available.

Over the last four years, I have never been disappointed by this property. The room rates are reasonable, the service consistent, the housekeeping excellent and you will find the usual amenities. The rooms are comfortable with good desks and lighting. They have enough electrical outlets and on my last trip, they provided free WiFi. The breakfast buffet is good, if somewhat limited -- you can order from the menu. The bar is quiet during the week, but gets noisy on the weekends with live music. On every visit, I see birthday parties, weddings and other events in the meeting rooms.

This hotel is best suited to small to medium meetings, local business travel and great for social events in this area. If you like quiet or want to sleep late ask for a room away from the tower/bar. They have a number of suites perfect for small meetings and gatherings.

The location is ideal, right on the highway. A number of shops and restaurants are within walking distance, just in case you do not have a car. San Jose airport is ten miles south.
