I stayed for over a month at this hotel as part of a temporary stay in the SF Bay Area. I discovered this hotel after checking out of the Towneplace Suites in Newark (please read my review about that hotel).
I am so glad that I found this hotel. It offers complimentary hot breakfast (eggs, sausage, cereal, etc.) every morning and a social hour with different variety of foods on certain evenings. I especially enjoyed the hamburger nights. Best hamburgers I have ever eaten! Also, most of the staff was very friendly to me, including some of the housekeeping staff. Housekeeping offered their cleaning services daily, which is good for an extended stay hotel. Some extended-stay hotels only offer it once a week or so. There is also a pool and a fitness room, but I did not use any of those amenities. When I got sick during my stay and could not go out, I used their grocery shopping service so they could pick me up a few things. You just fill out a grocery list and they will purchase your groceries for you and add it to your bill.
My room was a suites room and was quite large. There was a full kitchen (no oven though) and the high-speed internet access worked great most of the time, although it would tend to slow down in the evenings or when alot of people were accessing it at the same time. There was also a flat screen tv with a decent amount of channels. The tv swivels so you can watch it from the sofa or from your bed. There's also a breakfast bar to eat at.
The only things that I had minor issues with was that my microwave was only cleaned once during my stay, the heater was very noisy when it would turn on, and the washers and dryers were costly ($2 per machine). Also, Newark is quite a ways from San Francisco, but not too far from a BART Station or San Jose. Still, this hotel was a great price for all of the amenities you get.
I was very sad when I left this hotel, but when I return to California and need an extended stay near the Newark area, I will definitely stay here again. Thanks to all the staff who were so kind and helpful to me!
