My last stay on October 30th 2010 was disappointed because the hotel served only vegetarian foods without any eggs or meat that I expect.

We arrived at the hotel and already saw a friendly atmosphere. The staff were of the highest degree of customer service, seeing to our needs with no delay. It was great that the attractions such as the Midway Museum, the Maritime Museum, and Seaport Village were within close range of the hotel for an easy drive. It may be getting refurbished, but it was worth it for my friend and I to be there. Hopefully when we return, the renovations will be completed.

We had a group of friends riding to San Diego for a convention. The convention center hotels were very expensive so we chose the Comfort Inn National City which saved us around $100 per night. It was only a 5 mile drive to the convention, and one night we even took public transit which was convenient since the bus stop is right in front of the hotel. Unfortunately we stayed in town too long and missed the last bus back, so that was a lesson learned.

The pool and spa were very nice, wireless worked great, breakfast was very good with a choice of blueberry and regular waffles. They did have a security guard working on the weekend too, so it was nice to know someone was watching our motorcycles, but it didn't seem like it was a bad part of town compared to some of the other areas we saw a few miles away.

Ended up staying here as the result of complications with our reservation at another hotel. Things definitely worked out for the best for us. The hotel is very nice and clean. I was a little concerned at first in that the hallways give the impression of an older and outdated hotel but the rooms are very clean and modern. In addition, the staff was extremely helpful, patient, and accommodating in helping us with our reservation problems. Would definitely stay here again.
