The staff, food and grounds are wonderful. We had a great time.

The hotel itself wasn't bad... but the bed had ZERO support it was like a bag of stuffed with shredded foam and no springs. I do not suffer from any back problems whatsoever but that night I was woken up at 3AM with a sharp pain in my lower back..... it was more like excruciating! It took me a month to recover and not feel any pain when I moved. I will NOT be back. I only gave the two stars because the lobby/bar/staff were great and lived up to the ratings here online. I picked this hotel because of that. This was not an isolated incident because another person in my party had the same experience on another bed. We are both slender too so it's not like we needed alot of back support. We slept terribly and had to get treatment for our backs when we got home.

This was our second visit to this hotel. The renovation of the public areas was really nicely done. We are platinum with Marriott, so we are used to being treated very well at their properties, but the staff here went way beyond friendly and helpful. The check in process was very pleasant, the concierge lounge was well appointed, and the concierge inside the lounge was great. She gave us lots of passes to some great wineries for free tastings. The best part of the hotel though was the restaurant in the lobby. The soup was out of this world, and the meatballs were fantastic. Again, the service was over the top. We rarely eat at hotel restaurants, especially in a place like Napa, but this place is a destination in itself.
The rooms are not terribly large, but well appointed with really comfy linens. The fitness center was good. They were also running some good spa specials, but we didn't have a chance to take advantage of them. We will definitely return.

Our family of 4 stayed here last weekend and it was a very pleasant stay. The pool was heated to 82 degrees which meant the kids were able to splash about for many hours, even though the outside temp was in the 50s! The rooms were recently remodeled if a bit small. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Super kid friendly vibe too.
