We stayed one night and were welcomed by the owners. We were not given the rooms we registered and were not reall told why, but it was fine, we had beautiful accommodations. The evening wine/cheese reception was nice in the main house. The room was well appointed and had all we needed. Breakfast was expertly made, the scones were exceptional. Bottled water was available at all hours.

This was a gem in disguise! We researched and found this place and it was AMAZING. The rooms, the food, and the wine hour were phenominal! The staff were amazing and this will be my "go to" place in Napa from now on!!
Walking distance from all the great resaurants and the service was unreal, like a home away from home!

We are totally unfamiliar with the issues that some earlier reviewers have brought up -- all we can say is that we were completely pleased with our 2 nights at La Belle Epoque.

Our arrival was a little confused because there was painting going on in the dining room (apparently an earlier plumbing leak did some serious damage), so Carol was rushed trying to coordinate the painters, but even so, she did pay all the attention to us that we could have asked for. The painting never interfered with activities as it was arranged to begin after breakfast and be all cleaned up before the evening wine tasting.

All we needed to do was whisper that we wanted to eat at this or that restaurant and Carol immediately arranged reservations for us. She provided the Tasting Passport on our arrival and recommended wine tastings that were within walking distance -- a good idea after you've sampled and sampled :-)

One of the things we really appreciated was the self-service coffee/tea (with an instant-on hot water spigot) since we are early risers and like our coffee before we go out for a morning walk.

All the pictures you see on the website match perfectly with our experience there (except that it wasn't cold enough to need the fireplace in our room).

Karyl greeted my husband and I at the front door and immediately gave us maps of the area, our wine passport, and some coupons to local wineries. She hosted wine hour everyday (which was always a lot of fun) and made sure we had everything we needed. There were also a few different wineries that visited for wine hour, which was really nice. Karyl also made some amazing recommendations of both wineries and restaurants. We had such a great time at every place she sent us to. She also made sure that everything around the house was in tiptop shape. Sarah, the house chef, prepared wonderful breakfasts every day. My favorite was the Monte Cristo with rosemary sauce. Yum! Breakfast kept us so full we usually skipped lunch.

We stayed in both the Zinfandel room and the Gamay room during our stay. Both were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The charm and details in the Gamay room were exactly what you would expect from an old Victorian charmer. Just beautiful!

The inn is located about 3 blocks from all of the shops and restaurants of downtown Napa. There are so many cute little shops and plenty of wonderful restaurants to choose from.

Aside from the house itself, which is just gorgeous, the best part of our stay was Karyl. She was so kind and gracious. We couldn’t have asked for better. She really went above and beyond anything we could have expected. We can’t wait to visit again!
