“Wine Country Charm at its Best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

We stayed here in September and it was amazing. Luxurious, but in a country, cozy, charming kind of way. The rooms are very unique. They are clean, spacious, very appealing, and make you feel like you have your own little farm guest house. The bathrooms were huge. Decor is lovely. The grounds are breathtakingly beautiful and we rested by the pool one afternoon with a bottle of wine. Was awesome. The food at the hotel is great. We had breakfast at the one of the restaurants (I believe near or in that big red barn looking building) and we had cocktails and appetizers out by the firepit one night. The hotel is convenient to the wineries. We took a couple of day trips and had a driver take us to many boutique wineries nearby and it was a true pleasure to get to come back to the Carneros Inn and fall into that big white fluffy bed. If you want to do the California wine country and want to do it right, the Carneros inn is the perfect answer for you delivering first-class amenities with first-class country charm.

“Fabulous romantic Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

I have had a few very pleasurable weekends here. The rooms are very nice. It is certainly worth the extra for the larger rooms with a fireplace and outdoor bath. The garden areas are all very private and it is a great way to relax after a hard days wine tasting. The bathrooms are large and well equiped with two coffee machines (one espresso and one filter). The restaurants are both very good. I recomend taking one of the free bikes and cycling to the nearby Domaine Carneros (for Taittinger style champers) and with a little more effort up to Arteta winery. It will make your evening dip in the beautiful hilltop pool feel that much nicer. The concierge will book winery visits and suggest great schedules with barrel tastings and great meals. If you need a driver they will fix that for you too. Just enjoy.

Room Tip: Go for the rooms with a fireplace and an outside bath. Rooms with a view nice but all gardens are ve...

Stayed last June for a conference. Stayed in a fabulous two bed house. The rooms we re large, the fridge stocked with all the essentials you could need and the service was impeccable. My only complaint .. it is hard to find your way around after dark as it is not so well lit.
