We couldn't have been more pleased. From the upgrade to Master Bath Suite (you gotta check it out!) to the impeccable service with every attention to detail to the perfect location, we could not have asked for more! They even shipped our wine purchases for half of what UPS was going to do. Excellent proximity (within walking distance) to most of the major restaurants. I would HIGHLY recommend the AVIA for your next stay in Napa.

My husband and I flew down for a Thursday through Sunday trip for my birthday. We upgraded to a room with a soaking tub. Everyone and everything was great. Everyone knew our names and we were even surprised with a complimentary bottle of champagne to toast my birthday in our room when we checked in. The fire pits on the second floor terrace were my favorite part. I think you would have to be super picky/snobby to not like this place. We would recommend this place to anyone.

We would highly recommend booking a tour with Bruce at Wine Country Safari, also. It's well worth every penny.

On the one hand, the hotel was smart, modern and our room spacious - on the other hand we were annoyed by a few things that will prevent us from returning to Avia.
We were greeted coolly by the reception staff but enjoyed our light dinner in the restaurant. The chef, a new addition to the staff, was very friendly and prepared a great meal. The waiter was very efficient, polite and helpful with menu choices. The decor in the lounge/ restaurant was beautiful.
The room itself was fine although I don't get the mini bar rigged with pressure sensors! Why treat guests as potential thieves from the first moment they enter their room? You either provide a mini bar with a limited selection or you take it away. Don't rig the tray and the fridge with sensor monitors - it's insulting.
Our room was located directly opposite a meeting room so we were woken at about 6.00am by staff preparing for the 8.00am meeting. We only stayed one night but had housekeeping ringing our doorbell at 8.15am. Not good enough.
Next time we will stay at St Helena and give Napa a miss.
