We stayed in the hotel over Thanksgiving and, although the staff were friendly and helpful, were very disappointed by how incredibly noisy our room (104) was. It was clearly one half of an adjoining suite connected by a wooden door inside our room. The walls and ceilings are very thin and unisulated; conversations in adjoining rooms were easily heard and the footfalls of people in the upstairs unit sounded like a herd of elephants gone wild. Coupled with the noise of the nearby freeway it was difficult to sleep. We found it necessary to leave the bathroom fan on all night to provide some "white noise".
During the daytime, the room is very dark due to having only a few small table lamps for lights and the overhang of the patio shielding the sun. If you want any privacy, you must keep the louvers on the patio door closed because the room faces the main walkway to the hotel. Curiously, at night when you want to sleep, the room is bathed in light poking through the edges of the door blinds, from under the front door, from the ultra bright clock, and from the glowing entry light switch.
On the positive side, all of the hotel staff were friendly and professional, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast was good.
Room Tip: Perhaps the upstairs rooms would be quieter. Also request that your rooms isn't part of an adjo...
