We stayed here the weekend of August 12th. It was a nice, quiet, comfortable stay, very clean which is a good thing. The one thing that my boyfriend and I worked around was that there was only one wash cloth, but two hand towels, and two towels. Also there are no bar soaps. The soap that was in the bathroom and near the sink was liquid, which is ok, I just felt that there should have been at least one bar of soap in there. Other than that no complaints. The price is very affordable. I will consider staying here again if in the area.

This was my first time at this ABV location, I stayed at the ABV in Palo Alto the last three times in the area in the last 2 months. The room looked like it had been recently renovated with a nice bed, plenty of pillows, a down comforter, granite countertops in the sink area, a nice sitting area. However, there was only one small trash can in the room and the shower handle was moldy. There was no individual soap, only soap dispensers on the wall. The front desk person was friendly and efficient but the office area was neglected and after I called twice to see if I could get on the internet, I never was able to connect. I think that room #118 is too far away from the router. The outside hallways had various full bags of linens - 6 or so scattered about. The vending machine was out of water and the food vending machine only had 3 or 4 items left in it. The motel exterior, hallways and walls are in dire need of paint and sprucing up.

We booked this hotel for a initial week of stay, after moving to Mountain View, CA

The only good thing about this hotel were its proximity to the downtown area.

The mattress in the room was of poor quality . The continental breakfast as mentioned on the site was a rip off. The only breakfast they serve is coffee and some muffins. That too they would open the office at 6.45 AM else usually at 7 AM for breakfast.

Stayed here on business in March and April 2008. This is a nice value for the price. Location has excellent access to Castro Street and nearby attractions. The hotel is on a busy commercial drag (W. El Camino Real), so there is some street noise. Also, I did witness a couple of instances of police activity (including one arrest with several police cars) along El Camino, so be alert.

Room was obviously renovated recently, but already has some minor wear (carpet stain, nail polish on the table, lamp that didn't work). The free Wifi was a nice perk, although needed to call down to get the system reset from time to time. There is a coffee maker, microwave, fridge, and iron in each room which all worked great. Room was cleaned well during my stay. Front desk staff was friendly. There is plenty of dining within an easy walk or drive including fast food establishments, an Italian restaurant across the street, coffee shops, and a frozen yogurt shop.
