We organised to stay here specifically because the hotel was advertised as wheelchair accessible - false advertising. Only concessions made for accessibility was in the bathroom. Grab railings had been installed and the bath tub had been removed to make a large shower space. When asked for the use of a shower chair the attending staffer at first didn't realise why a person in a wheelchair would need one. The bedroom has no concessions for a wheelchair other than the door is just big enough for some wheelchairs to fit through. The entry hallway is only large enough for the chair to move one way, you cannot turn around. The room was too cramped to get any further than the bathroom before removing a lot of the furniture, and afterwards still resulted in knuckles getting scraped when rolling between the bed and tv counter. The hotel's gimmick for feeding guests' creativity by encouraging them to move around the furniture in their rooms means that all the furniture (except the bed) has wheels on it. Meaning that there is nothing stable to lean on when climbing into the bed - which was about 20 cm higher than the seat of my wheelchair.

The room was comfortable, clean, attractive, and quiet. Smallish, but it has all the basics. And a few little extras- like a free beer at happy hour. The complimentary breakfast wasn't bad either. The surrounding neighborhood is kind of boring, although there's some good Indian food within walking distance. The staff was uniformly friendly and helpful.

don't think there is a single bad thing to say about this hotel. It is conveniently located on El Camino Real, close to Mathilda avenue and plenty of restaurants and shops.
The staff was very helpful, the hallways and lobby's decor was very chic.
Our room was absolutely perfect in every way and the pool area was pleasant.
The room where breakfast is served was a bit on the small side but after spending a really nice night I didn't mind at all. I would definitively stay here again.

In town for business, this was an easy-to-get-to place flying into SJO and has such a homey atmosphere when you walk in. Rooms were nice (although mine smelled a bit old, but to be expected in a refurbished environment) and try to ignore the stucco exterior :) Loved the toy kit and note pads around the room. Great hottub, standard gym, and quiet grounds. Room service coming in late was minimal, so I wasn't able to get food but the included standard continental breakfast took care of that. I even left my hat and the housekeeping saved it for me to retrieve the next day :) All in all, a perfectly fine place to stay and keeps in line with all of my other great JDV experiences.
