We stayed one night at this inn as it was conventiently located across the street from the soccer fields. After reading some of the negative comments, we were hesitant in staying but decided to anyway as everything else in the area was sold out. We were not disappointed and the price was right for the inn. We have stayed at many hotels over the years and the room we were in was not that small. We have stayed in smaller rooms at hotels that were rated 3* + and more expensive. We were also able to control the temperature in our room. Sometimes I think guests try to find reasons to complain about anything. The carpet in the room could be cleaned or replaced (and new paint) but the room was clean. For the price, it was a good find. Continental breakfast consisted of bagels, cream cheese, muffins, fruit and cereal along with juices and coffee. We would return in the future.Staff was very friendly, too.

I have never stayed at a hotel where they control your air temperature in your room. The room is extremely small. The only way to get additional air movement is to open your window and then you get the traffic noise. In our room, my husband cannot use the toilet the way he would like because the toilet seat will not stay up. There is no decaf coffee. The hallways are exremely warm because apparently they do not wish to keep this area at a comfortable temperature. The only positives...it is clean and internet is free.

Traveling north needed a place to spend the night. Looked online in Gilroy area and was shocked to see the bad reviews at most hotels. I came across Microtel and the comments from pother travelers were mostly good. I did find that the key problem others mentioned has not been resolved. My key lost its info and had to go to front desk to get it re issued. Otherwise the stay was great and i would recommend and return again. Room was small but functional, clean and fresh. The bed was awesome very comfortable....Great place and great price.

The rooms are tiny (and pretty run down), the continential breakfast is cereal and cold muffins and the hole in the lobby ceiling is a bit curious... The room was clean and the WiFi did work. Dont expect to watch a movie on Netflix but you can check your email-I was able to login about every 5th try. This place is pretty much the bottom of the barrel when it comes to hotels.
