We spent two nights here in a one bedroom queen suite with separate living room where the kids slept on the queen sofa bed. One of the better Residence Inns we've stayed in as room was well maintained. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good enough with adequate variety and dining hall could accommodate the morning breakfast crowd comfortably.

No big complaints about our recent overnight at this hotel, where we stayed en route to the Renaissance Faire in nearby Casa de Fruita. For the past 2 years we've turned our annual trek to the Faire into a little mini-holiday by staying at this hotel the night before, where the kids can play in the pool. As last year, we stayed at this hotel in a 2-BR suite with our friends who also have a 10-year-old son. We found it, as last year, very clean, roomy and comfortable -- just fine for 4 adults and 2 kids. The 2-BR suite works well for us. The adults each get their own private bedroom with bathroom, and the two kids shared the sofabed in the living room. There is plenty of space in the living room for the kids to stretch out with Legos, and the small kitchen had everything we needed to have drinks in the evening and make coffee in the morning (bring your own). There are a lot of good nearby restaurants - we've enjoyed two different Italian restaurants that we found on yelp, and there is an In and Out Burger and quickie mart next to the hotel parking lot. The hotel is just off 101, making it convenient for travelers. The beds are comfortable, and the free wifi was plenty fast enough for three adults with laptops. I wouldn't say this is a destination hotel - it is squeezed in with other hotels and various chain restaurants just off 101, and doesn't have any grounds to speak of. But I give it 4 stars because it delivers exactly what we wanted for an overnight on our way to someplace else.

We arrived (my wife, 2 small kids and I) at 8pm and there was NO ONE at the front desk nor any staff member to be seen for 45 minutes (yes - 45 minutes). I went to the Mariott Coutyard next door to see if they could help and someone from there came over but even they could not locate the staff. After 45 minutes a guy shows up and says that a customer's toilet was clogged up - seriously dude : 45 minutes fixing someone's toilet when you have left everything else open !! OK - mistake 1 and I get it but no apology from the manager or anyone the next day, no acknowledgment that they had seriously messed up. I will never stay here or any Mariott Residence Inn again and I will never recommend the place to anyone.

We have stayed several times during the last few years and have always had a very enjoyable stay. The property is maintained in near new condition. The staff members have always been very welcoming, helpful, and accomodating throughout each stay. The rooms are impeccably clean, nicely decorated, and have well equipped kitchen facilities. It is a great spot for a relaxing weekend away from the city. Located in a peaceful country setting close to San Jose, good shopping, restaurants, and country recreation.
