I stayed here last week with my husband, more or less just as a getaway. We absolutely loved it here! The staff were great, the front desk lady showed us a map what we could in the area and she was also nice enough to let us leave our belongings behind as we didnt have a car , while we were visiting the places after check out .the rooms though not very new but were clean which was what i was loooking for .I will definietly stay there again .

“Would not recommend in a million years”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 December 2010

We booked a room with a kitchenette through hotels.com. I double checked the text when I made the reservation as we have a baby who needs food in the evening.

When we arrived, the kitchenette was not working and when we questioned this at the front desk the lady somewhat arrogantly explained that we had misunderstood their advertisement on the hotels.com web page. We had to pay $ 40 more in order to get a room with a kitchenette for the 2 nights we had booked. I even brought my Mac to the front desk to show her how hotels.com CLEARLY states that ALL ROOMS INCLUDE kitchenette, but no. She would not listen and was not being helpful at all. She just said that I should have called them before I made the booking to make sure that our booking would include everything that the web site stated!!!! What a thing to say.

She called the room a few minutes later to say that "if we were so unhappy we could check out straight away and get a refund": I said yes please! and we started gathering our stuff. Then she calls back and has some new info for us: We must get a refund from hotels.com, they won´t provide it but we were free to check out without a refund (oh hurray). Of course, hotels.com won´t refund everything this late so I am getting pretty annoyed with her.

My baby had to go to bed without a proper meal and I ended up calling hotels.com, who called the general manager and we stayed one night but got the second refunded - by hotels.com.

I would NOT recommend this place in a million years. It is nothing special (old, worn, cold room) and they apparently know nothing about customer service. Hotels.com on the other hand, actually tried solving our problem and were quite polite and helpful. (Btw. they are changing the hotel description now so customers actually know what they get.)

“Refused to refund safe fee as per lobby signage”

I am a PLATINUM member with choice privileges, I made reservation via them, the price was ok,l the commode didnt flush, however, the lobby PC wasnt fucntioning, and the continental breakfast was FAR under choice hotels standarrds.I was also refused a computerised folio at checkout, and as i suspected, when i checked my choice account, i was indeed charged a safe feee,I have requested it be refunded via telephone, and the manager called me rude for asking for it. I have contacted choice privileges, and will update triopadvisor if/when I received the refund as advertised.

“Beware of this overpriced dump.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 July 2010

We recently stayed 2 nights at this hotel while on vacation in California and it was a terrible experience. It is an old, poorly maintained hotel, the 2 chairs in the room were so badly stained we didn't dare sit in them. Since it was the week of the U.S. Open we expected rooms to be at a premium, however it would have been nice to get our money's worth. We were charged 134.99 per night and when we inquired about staying a 3rd night prior to seeing the room, we were told at first that a 3rd night would be $299 and then she lowered it to $199, needless to say after seeing the room, we didn't stay a 3rd night. We would have gone elsewhere, but everyone else was all booked. The continental breakfast consisted of stale pastry & bread for toast. When we complained to Choice Privileges, we received a letter from them and an email from the hotel, giving us nothing more than lip service. In all fairness to CP, we always stay at a CP hotel and this was our first bad experience.
