Rosalie at the front desk and especiallyTeresa, the breakfast server, were terrific! Friendly and so very helpful and competent! The property is older and not as modern as most Comfort Inns in which we stay, but it is second to none in cleanliness and it is unforgettable with its own quaint personality. It is older but fresh paint and lovely flowers make it most hospitable. The room is laid out in such a way that there are mirrors and plug ins available in the bedroom when someone is in the bathroom. The breakfast was excellent. Though there are restaurants close by to drive to, we walked to a Vietnamese restaurant next door which was not only great food but extremely reasonably priced. And, the icing on the cake for this Comfort inn was the extremely reasonable price with breakfast included! I want to go back to stay next time we go to Monterey!

We stayed here for a night before travelling south on the Highway 1. The location is convenient for access to the highway. The room is small and hardly has space for luggages. If you don't intend to spend much time in the room, then it's fine.

The 2 Queen room we stayed in has been recently remodelled. The toilet, especially the bath area, is new and sparkling clean. However, it is strange to have the coffee making facility located next to the toilet bowl.

The breakfast provided was above average. Really enjoyed the waffle from the self service machine.

As most will appreciate, travelling with under 5's can be challenging, and putting them into a separate room in the evening is useful for one's enjoyment of the stay. Comfort Inn has suites with a small single bedroom separate to the main room for very reasonable prices, definitely the cheapest I could find in Monterey. Yes the walls are thin, and the breakfast was OK only, but comfortable beds and the place was clean. Good value.

Efficient staff, clean rooms, better than average breakfast. Beds and bathroom were fine; nothing fancy Older property but appears to be well taken care of. A few nearby restaurants, but you'll need to drive to get to Monterey Bay area -- which actually isn't worth the visit except for the aquarium.
