Stayed here for just a night as part of our trip up the Pacific Coast Highway.

The hotel owner on reception was warm and welcoming. A lovely chap who took time to talk to us and give good advice. He let me take away a fair amount of fruit, coffee and pastries when we checked out for the next leg of journey.

Our room was decorated to a very high standard. It looked brand new. The in-room fridge kept our beers chilled and the bathroom had a powerful shower. The beds were very comfortable. You could hear a fairly busy road at the back of our room until late at night, but it wasn't so bad you couldn't sleep.

The free Wi-Fi was good but best of all was the selection of channels you could watch in your room on digital cable TV - the highest number of channels I've ever seen, including BBC America. We've never seen this anywhere else we've stayed. Not essential, I know, but very impressive for a "basic" chain.

For our evening meal, we ate out at the nearby 'Coco's' Bakery Restaurant which was very good value as well (£25 between three of us). You will need a car here. Public transport options looked limited and the hotel didn't seem near anywhere in particular.

This Super 8 is fantastic value for money. Highly recommended.

The rooms were extremely clean and have been newly renovated, so the rooms were in GREAT condition. The location is conveniently located near 17 mile drive as well as other beautiful attractions. Additionally, the owners were incredibly accommodating, warm, and friendly and very willing to help us with any requests we had (ex. we had a couple of cup noodles and the owners helped us boil water from their own stove, in the middle of the night). HIGHLY RECOMMEND :)

We stayed here for 5 nights while we saw the sights in Monterey and Paqcific grove. The new thermostate was tricky to work but once we solved the mystery, we were able to keep the room comfortable in the unusually cold weather. The room had a nice size refigerator. We had a room with a king sized bed and there was not much extra room to move around. We kept the suitcases in the seperate closet. The bathroom was also seperate with a door which we kept open to keep the bathroom warm. The managers were very helpful and gave us useful tips about the region. They also gave us extra service in printing out our boarding passes for our return flight home. We would stay there again.
