“Good resting place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

Hotel was reasonable in price, quiet, with comfortable beds and nice employees. It's not fancy but was clean and restful. Our remote didn't work the first night, but when we asked about it, the person at the desk came up immediately and reset the device. Coffee and juice in morning were avialable on time, and donuts were adequate. We didn't use the pool so can't comment. For a hotel in the $80 range, we were quite satisfied. We stayed a week.

“you get what you pay for”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 July 2009

coffee maker in room however guests must buy their own coffee/supplies from the vending machine. Microwaves require a $50 deposit. Pool was filthy only saw it cleaned once in the 5 days we were there--dead bugs all over the top of the water. On the second day we were there upon returning to our room they had replaced the dresser and stacked the 4 drawers from the dresser they replaced under the bathrooom sink. We then had to transfer our clothes from those 4 drawers into the new dresser with only 3 drawers. There was no notification that his was to happen.

“Very Disappointed”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2009

Superb location, but our room was not clean, the DSL did not work, interior was dirty, both room phones were out of order, two wall light switches were out, corridor lights flickered continuously, continental breakfast was stale or unwholesome, manager was friendly but embarrased by the lack of maintenance. If you want a one-star, cheap flop and the Motel 6 is full, this would be ideal. If I had not pre-paid, I would not have remained (Jan 2009).

“Optimistic but extremely disappointing...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 April 2008

This hotel appeared nice from the exterior but upon staying here, I would have to say that I would not revisit Oak Tree Inn. The rooms are fair sized, I stayed in a room with 2 double beds, but are in great need of maintenance and updating. Everything was old, dirty and bet up from years and years of use. The highway is directly behind the hotel so it's pretty loud most of the time. One benefit is that the Claim Jumper was next door but if that's the only highlight, there's something wrong. Don't waste your time.

“Could use a little work”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 December 2007

This is an old hotel that could use some work. There was NO security chain on the door. One of the blankets had a chewed hole in it. The carpet needed a good steam cleaning. The mattresses dipped in strategic places. This is the first place I've stayed where the shampoo came in a little plastic envelope like you get ketchep in. There was a coffee pot but no coffee; fortunately, I speak a little Spanish and was able to get cofee from the room attendant. There was no thermostat we could find. There was a group of young men staying on all the floors; Sunday morning they began to leave and were shouting at each other from the decks down to the parking lot for hours. No one from the office came out to intervene which I did finally.
This was a disabled room and the bathroom was wonderful; large, clean. There were smoke alarms everywhere and I assume they work. Very nice front desk. The hotel was perfectly situated for our visit. Easy to get in and out.

  • Liked — The bathroom
  • Disliked — The general grunge
