Vintage accomidations .... Very Run down. No closet, no iron, tiny pillows, no desk lamp, no closet or place to ang your clothing. Free breakfast .... cold egg patties, cereal dispenser, old fruit, day old bread and no yogurt. Bleak free breakfast. Very poor choice for your stay.... Don't bother.I did not enjoy my stay.

... After reading many of these reviews, but I decided to take my chances. While there were still some signs of what it was like before (some peeling wall paper, some old paint, some bad fixtures, etc.- mostly in the main building and outside the rooms), it was actually fairly decent. I was placed in a newly renovated room (when I stayed they were still remodeling), which was clean, bright and nice; the average score in this review more reflects what WASN'T finished (again, the main building and some of the exterior). The staff was friendly and competent for the most part, and did their best to meet my needs. They even prepare and serve a hot breakfast daily, included with your room charge.

So, in short, it wasn't phenomenal- it also wasn't finished.
Next time I'm staying in the area I'd even consider staying there again, as long as the remodel is complete.

From check in to check out the staff was very friendly. The room I stayed in was very nice; I believe it had recently been renovated. Overall very comfortable stay, I will stay again next time I’m in Modesto.
