First, the good things. This motel has clean rooms, good free breakfast items, biscuits and gravy, cereal, fruit, bagels, stuff like that. The pool and spa looked very clean, but I did not get the chance to go in. I could do a load of laundry, that was nice. The bed was very comfortable and the room nicely appointed with a comfortable sofa, table and desk. There is also a little frig, and microwave. Also for semi truck drivers...there is adequate parking for your rig. Now, the not so good things. There is a train that goes by very frequently and it seemed that during the night is when the driver would sound his horns. Not the motels fault, but the morning after our first night, we went for breakfast and noticed a bowl of earplugs on the desk that we did not notice when we checked in. So my husband jokingly said "you should put up a sign about the trains and offer the earplugs" . The clerk responded "NOOO....didn't you read the reviews??". I thought that was NOT an appropriate response to a guest. Even if she had heard that comment 100 times before. We just chalked it up to her having a bad day. So then when we were leaving for the day, I left a note for the housekeeper asking to please leave 2 more pillows and 2 extra bath towels as I knew that I would be coming back very late and did not want to go to the front desk. She took the note but did not leave the items. Maybe she forgot, I don't know. I will say though that I originally booked the room for 2 nights and then stayed an additional night. We did wear ear plugs the last 2 nights and the bed was so comfy and we slept great. So all in all, like I said, I would stay here again. Hope this helps.

I am glad to know that you appreciated the beautiful aspects of our hotel as well as the upgraded amenities that we offer including the extended HOT breakfast. We appreciate your kind remarks to all that we have to offer as well as your comments making us aware of our staff's inappropriate response to your concerns. There is absolutely no reason for any one of our staff members to make a comment in those regards to your concern with the noise levels. We have had a staff meeting with all employees and have taken action to ensure that this type of behavior will never take place again with both the front desk and housekeeping staff. I appreciate you bringing this to our attention, as without customers feedback like yours, we would not know where we could better ourselves. Despite the couple setbacks you encountered during your stay, we are honored to know that you would be staying with us again the next time you are in the Modesto area. I can assure you that your next stay will be far more superior then your most recent. Thank you again for taking the time out of your day to write us your feedback.
