We took a very last minute trip to L.A. for some Pacific Standard Time art events and booked this hotel over the phone, thinking we were booking Jamaica Bay, where we'd stayed in the past. We were a little surprised when I verified the address on the way over there, but we decided to keep an open mind. We asked for a king bed when we phoned and were given a queen with a sitting area instead. Brad on the front desk let us compare the two room types so we could decide. We went with the larger room and smaller bed.

All pictures on Tripadvisor are accurate. For a very reasonable rate you get so many amenities: free parking, free Internet, free breakfast, small workout room with good equipment, complimentary coffee and tea, modern and well-equipped room with fridge and microwave, iron and hair dryer, comfortable bed, blackout curtains, extra pillows. The second level area with outdoor seating and jacuzzi is very pleasant. One downside: we could hear one of our neighbors snoring so walls/floors are thin. Only possible improvement: motel could add flashing to the door so light and air aren't streaming in.

We stayed at this hotel because it is part of the Pacifica Hotels family. I have never gone wrong with them. From the time we walked in, we were greeted at the front desk by a friendly, courteous, and professional employee (Brad) that did a great job of making sure we were taken care properly. Great first impression. The room was spacious and clean, it breaks up the bedroom area, sofa area, entry, and bathroom area. Bedroom closes off from the sofa and bathroom area for privacy. Very nice for the price paid. Breakfast was typical continental items with make your own waffles and toast. Good enough to hold til lunch later on. Will definitely return to this hotel if we come back for another medical appt at UCLA Santa Monica Clinic.
