The owners are in the midst of a major remodeling project and I stayed in one of the "new" rooms. The built-in desk/dresser/tv stand was much nicer than most hotels in this category. Unfortunately the LCD TV input wasn't HD, and expanding the SD signal to widescreen made everybody look rather fat, but that's pretty common. The staff was quite friendly and the breakfast buffet was more than adequate and reasonably priced for this area. But there was one major problem: the unbelievably noisy air-conditioning/heating unit. I'm used to loud fans and as long as the noise is constant, it's fine. But the nighttime temperatues were dropping into the 40s, and when this unit's heating element cycled on, the thump shook the whole room, followed by that well-known groaning noise that was so loud it was hard to hear the TV, much less try to sleep. I had to leave it off and use the spare blanket to keep from shivering.
