We chose this hotel because of proximity to family we were visiting. As soon as we came into the room, I turned on the TV, blasting the hotel's channel. It wouldn't respond to the remote! The service person came right away,"fixed " it. The same happened every time I turned it on. So we had a daily visit from the service person!
The towels were really thin and worn out. They really need to be replaced.
Overall it was an average hotel.

Stayed here for the first time after a long association with another hotel in Marina del Ray. Will be returning again soon. The location was good and within easy strolling distance of Venice Beach. I booked a standard room and it was typical Marriott. Good sized, comfy beds and everything you need for a say of a few days.

Unusually I ate in the restaurant and the food and service was good. Menu a little limited, but otherwise fine. The lobby bar was good and a nice place to head for a few brews after a day of battling LA traffic getting from meetings to meetings.

We checked in for one night, king bed room with ocean view. the staff were very friendly at check in on the Elite Desk. We had a problem with the Heat not being able to be turned off, repairman came within 25 minutes and fixed the problem. No worries, Marriott properties are well run and have well trained staff. we usually stay at the Marriott hotel group. Quiet room. Bed comfortable. the hotel is older, but clean and comfortable. I would stay here again and refer friends here.

I chose this hotel, because you are pretty close to LAX but do not end up in an airport hotel. It is about $20 from the airport and then you are in the hotel.
Good check-in and the rooms are much of a muchness with a large US Marriott hotel, you will not be getting or seeing anything new. The rooms are a good size and comfortable. For 1 night I was upgraded to a suite, though the bedroom had no window at all (room 451) and I would not recommend that. It gets used for meetings and formal events and can be a bit busy but generally works and flows pretty well.
