“Only ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2011

Stayed here on a 10 day driving holiday. We were tired after a long drive and needed to find somewhere. The bed and room was fine, we arrived late though and were unsure of surroundings and felt a bit uncomfortable there. The breakfast was very average, they rave about cinnamon rolls that really don't impress. It was fine as a place to get some rest, but nothing more than that.

“Worth every penny!”

This hotel is centrally located with old but good food across the street. Lobby and rooms are like new, clean and large. Elevator for upper floors, very friendly staff. Pool is outside and it was a bit chilly so we didn't use it. Wonderful breakfast with eggs, sausage, toast, cereal, juice and usual breakfast items. Rooms have nice furniture, TV with a lot of channels, large vanity in bathroom, hand-held shower. Home Depot right out the door but we didn't notice any noise in the room. Beds were like new and comfortable. Easy wireless "fast" internet connection. I'd easily stay there again.

“Nice Place to Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2009

I've stayed here twice - once in July of this year and in September. Very nice, clean rooms with very comfortable beds. The staff is very pleasant and friendly. Nice continental breakfast in the morning plus close to Starbucks which is a plus in my book. Would definitely recommend this hotel to travelers. Reasonably priced and very nice place to stay. Very convenient location as well.

“nice, comfortable, clean place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 December 2008

We stayed at the hotel whilst on the way from San Francisco to Las Vegas. After we left San Francisco, we stopped by at Gilroy for the factory outlet.

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night. Overall, the hotel was well maintained, room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. The complimentary breakfast that was provided was above average.

Stayed November 2008

“Great Place To Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2008

On our way from Yosemite National Park to San Francisco we took a little detour and found ourselves driving through Madera. The time was getting on so we decided to find somewhere to stop for the night. A local gave us directions to the HIE. When we walked into the reception we received a very warm welcome from the receptionist who could not have been more helpful. The rooms were very clean with all the amenities you would expect. The swimming pool was ice cold and the jacussi was just below boiling, lovely. The little restaurant across the road was recommended to us but looked a little shabby, don't let the appearances put you off, it was very friendly and full of locals. The food was acceptable and plenty of it, my daughter was not hungry so we ordered two meals and three plates, well my daughters "empty" plate came out fully loaded everytime and we were only charged for the two meals, fantastic. Breakfast in the hotel was also good with a lady on hand to top up anything that was running out. Highly Recommended.
