“Location, Location, Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

At the end of a pleasantly long day of riding, Lost Hills was where we found ourselves at dusk and of the choices, the Days Inn beckoned. Right off I-5 and on CA-46 it was easy access and a pleasant property. Bonus, a Denny's right across the parking lot. Perfect for travelers that don't want to hunt down restaurant options at the end of a long day of traveling. You actually come thru the Denny's parking lot to get to the Days Inn.

Quick and easy check in, a comfortable bed and the in-room trifecta of micro, coffee maker and mini fridge. The rooms were surprisingly quiet for the location and we heard no traffic noise to speak from inside the room. We were on the South side, ground level.

The property is a little dated, but not horribly so. The breakfast area is tiny, and offers only minimal items, (cereal, toast, muffins, etc), but is good for a quick bite before hitting the road again.

“Ewwwww”

Stayed here spur of them moment on a road trip. Disgusting! Carpet was filthy and there were lumps and bumps under it. Who know what those were all about. Can't turn tv on with remote. Have to do that at the set and then use remote. There was an arm chair next to the bathroom sink....nice, place to sit and read???? Bathroom had mold in grout. This place was just gross. Took a quick look at sheets before climbing in and they seemed clean. Yuck-go somewhere else!

“Days Inn and Wyndham Rewards has let us down”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 April 2011

We picked this hotel based on the typical Days Inn expectations however, this place does not meet that expectation. We made our reservations approx. six weeks ago and I requested a ground floor room facing the parking lot.....and it was paid for via my Wyndham Rewards points.

I then contacted the others in our group (4 other rooms) to tell them which hotel I'd chose. We ride motorcycles so we all ask for ground floor rooms. They all made their reservations and also request ground floor rooms.

We showed up and my wife and I were the second of our group. I reminded them that I'd requested a ground floor room but they told me that they didn't have any more ground floor rooms.

Over the next few hours the others showed up from our group and they were all given ground floor rooms. I went into the office and talked with the manager explaining that I was responsable for five room rentals and that I'd showed up before three of those rooms arrived but was told that there weren't anymore available. He said that they had reservations. I told him that I'd had reservations also........the only difference is that mine was paid for with Wyndham Rewards points. He then said "well maybe there was a cancellation between the time that you made your reservation and they made theirs". I told him "we all made our reservations within an hour time and you're suggesting that there were four reservations in that hour, six weeks ago?" He simply said "yes". I can't stand to be lied to and simply said "thank you" and walked out.

We went to our room to find a room that's less than the typical Days Inn standard. It's old and dirty with mold in the caulking of the shower surround. Cracked formica on the counter top. A refrigerator that has a shelf missing, mismatched furniture, etc.

I would not recommend this hotel to anybody that I know.

“Ok for one night.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 March 2011

We were driving between S.F and L.A. and needed a place to stay. We arrived at this motel around 8:30pm and were greeted warmly by the front desk clerk. We asked to see a room and then agreed to stay.

The room itself was on the smallish side and had one queen bed. It was clean, and for the most part comfortable. The one exception being the bed which was quite hard.

The motel is right on Hwy. 5 and we heard a lot of noise during the night. The parade of trucks seemed to be endless.

In summation, there are not a lot of hotel choices on Hwy 5 between the Bay Area and L.A. The Days Inn Lost Hills was decent for one night and at $55.00 it was a bargain. It's ok for one night.

“retrain your foreigner managers”

some time at midday i was sitting in my truck with my wife standing right next to me in the back parking lot of dennys which is the point that divides both parking areas of the DAYS INN and the restaurant , my wife and i meet at dennys every so often since i work out of town therefore we meet what is for us halfway. while i was talking to her and yes kissing her this hindu guy came to us telling me to move out of there. politely i said sure no problem and after my wife left it just popped in to me and ask my self what right did this guy have to ask me to leave, so i decided to ask him, i continued to the hotel's front desk i then asked the attendant if the parking spot that i was at belong to them she replied no that it belong to dennys, i asked why i was asked to leave the lady whose name i didn't get responded with a nervous attitude that someone had call them complaining and to tell us to get a room, when i asked her if the hotel was company she didn't know what to say, i then asked her if the gentleman that had asked me to leave was the owner, she said he was the manager. in my opinion this stupid man named Harry did not have any right what so ever to go out to a parking area that didn't even belong to his property and ask anyone to leave, how absurd, ignorant and blatant of someone who is a manager of a hotel. i would never stay at this hotel nor would i recommend it to anyone at all ( DAYS INN IN LOST HILLS CALIFORNIA). this particular incident calls for some sort of training to be given to these foreigners to understand that kissing your wife in a public place is very american and as far as i know anywhere in the globe , it doesn't constitute a sin or is against the law. perhaps in their country may be but here in USA. THIS IS NOT A REVIEW, COMMENT OR OR THE URGE TO WRITE, IS A COMPLAINT!!!!!.......... bad part of this was that my plan was to stay at this hotel....what a joke!!!!
