We had a suite and it was quite large. Wet bar packed with stuff for purchase, fridge, micro, fire place, table and chairs, desk, separate dressing room with 2 sinks, and two porches that were connected with all of the other rooms. I didn't realize someone could have just walked in from our porch when I decided I wanted to sleep with the sliding door open for fresh air! The view all around is very nice and it is completely quiet in this area. Except that they started mowing grass right around the rooms at 7AM on a Sunday - what's up with that??? Couldn't that have waited until later in the day, or during the week when it is slow? By 8:30 AM they were done.
The bed was OK but the sheets were scratchy polyester (below standard) and uncomfortable pillows. The hot tub had a waterfall into it, but there is no pool. I don't think they give you any food because they expect you to buy it at the restaurant, which has pretty good food.
It is surrounded by a golf course, but it is certainly more of a motel than a resort because there are no other resort amenities. The furnishings and appointment of the room weren't new or fancy, but it was plain and nice.
You can rent horses for dune rides right across the street. On weekends in the late summer there are free concerts on the putting green, which are really nice events.
Room Tip: Different buildings have different views. A room toward Morro Rock is probably the nicest.
