For an upscale hotel it isn't the Ritz but on its way. New ownership should pay attention to the scratchy towels, that there is no place for the duvet to go when removed from the bed, and paint touch up. The cabinet that the flat screen tv is in won't stay open so you have to prop it up. Only black out curtains which means that they are open or closed without anything in between. Staff was very well presented, respectful and very helpful. Daily papers are usual in an upscale hotel where you pay over $175 a night (on the special). The xeroxed channel page indicates that HBO is available, but it is not. The wireless system is easy access but unsecured. The continental breakfast is very adequate and staff very nice. We would stay there again but we do check the rates.

I stayed here for one night while interviewing with Netflix at their Los Gatos offices.

The first thing you'll notice is the beautiful architecture. Such a cool looking hotel and atmosphere. Parking was a bit tight in the garage, but it a was a such a short walk to the lobby, it didn't matter all that much.

The room I had was pretty nice, but nothing crazy.

Very nice front desk - I woke up in the morning and realized I had forgotten some toothpaste. I go up to the front desk and ask if there is any sort of gift shop that I could buy some toothpaste at. As quick as I can ask, someone goes back behind the desk and gets me a tube. Fantastic service.

Stayed on the 2nd. floor in the back which was very quiet. Very comfy rooms, bathroom. Decorated Tuscan style. Would definetly go back. Continental breakfast from 7-10 w/ eggs, biscuits, sweets, bagels, cereal. Got there at 9:30 - out of eggs, but offered to make. Staff did not return for the 6:00 turn down, since we mentioned for them to come back to 10 min. Nice restaurant Dio Deka on property, which has a lovely bar and very dining experience.

We have stayed at Hotel Los Gatos 4 or 5 times. Sometimes as a family and sometimes as a couple. We watched it being built and stayed here when it first opened. though there were problems when the hotel very first opened, related to construction, from the second visit on, it has been great. We have stayed in the normal rooms, the grand room and the large suite in the back upper corner---all were wonderful. I really recommend that suite for a special occasion; the bathroom is overwhelming!! and with fireplace by the tub!
