“Gone downhill, and where is my coffee?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2011

I have stayed once or twice a year for a few years while out in LA, and it was always fairly nice. However, it is not being well-maintained. The wear is really showing. OK, not a big deal. It is a good location for those needing to stay in the west valley.

But it is the little things that tick you off and sometimes make you say "OK, I'm done... Next time I'll be somewhere else". It wasn't the rooms. Yeah, they are worn a bot, but it wasn't a big deal. For me, it is the coffee situation. Trivial, maybe, but here it is...

Nowadays hotels in this class like the Hampton Inn, Comfort Inn, etc. all have a simple buffet included in the price. I'm not a breakfast fan, but I want my coffee. Those little in-room pots make dirty water, and I want a decent cup. The thing is, that until 6AM, they do have free coffee in the Lobby. That is fantastic, but when their restaurant opens for breakfast, it vanishes. So I went downstairs for coffee, and it was gone.

I was told no problem, I could go get it in the restaurant. But I learned that it was going to cost me $10. I didn't want breakfast... just a refill of my coffee. No matter, $10. When I balked at this (nicely), the many at the desk pointed me to a Starbucks down the street. REALLY?

So first off, the coffee situation just isn't in sync with the standard of service of a hotel in this category, but the service... That was just a new low, especially on something as trvial as a cup of coffee that was free 20 minutes earlier.

“If you like mold, you'll LOVE This Radisson - bring your inhaler!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 August 2010

A combination of mold festering on the AC vents, along with lousy guest services, will make your stay at the Radisson an adventure in respiratory issues and personal frustration.

After my first night, I realized the AC vent in the room was covered with black mold. Lovely. So I kindly informed the front desk of the issue. They offered to move me to another room, which I accepted (I would have been fine if they simply offered to replace the replace the vent). I packed my stuff and moved to the new room, only to find the AC vent had EVEN MORE mold than the previous room!

I had to leave, so I took my luggage to the car and threatened to find another hotel if they didn't resolve the issue when I came back. When I came back, they moved me to a mini-suite with a balcony view. No mold on the AC vent, but plenty of stains in other places that give one pause.

There aren't enough Sleep Number beds in the world to make up for a lack of cleanliness and no attention to detail. I'm not asking for the Ritz-Carlton, I just want a clean room. Hey, if a Best Western can do it, why can't a Radisson!

This hotel used to be great value for the price, but now it's simply a dump. Avoid this hotel until it changes management.

“Find another hotel”

This hotel is horrible! 3 Stars? No way! I wouldn't ever stay at this place again. My brother-in-law stayed at the Hilton (also 3 stars) for $7 more using their AAA rate. If I only would have known!!!
The hotel was dirty, it had a strange odor, the "remodeling" is very outdated, dirty shower shower.

“The little things could make this a V Good Hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 July 2010

Stayed 2 nights. Plenty of parking. Exterior & lobby std USA look & feel.
Arrived at 21:45pm and told bar/restaurant shut at 10pm every night.
Ground floor room std by US standards. Queen double bed & Sofer seat
Wireless worked i the most part well in room & I was to stream FIFA world cup football and watch happily. Bathroom good and clean.
For some reason you have to always switch 10lights on to get any real light in a room. Problem with all hotel rooms ;)
Coffee maker machine but only enough coffee to make once.
Swimming pool small but adequate. Same with Gym. Hot tub more hot than bubbles but again ok.
Service and people generally v friendly.
Breakfast had buffet, this was nice but not fantastic. Cheap orange juice (watered )
Generally happy with stay but no shop or real ability to mix with anyone except bar.
I would stay again for work, it's close to office and freeway and easy to find. But I have stayed at better.

“N”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 June 2010

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times. While i would not consider it to be a top tier hotel, it is not bad for the money. There are other hotels that are close by that cost almost twice as much. Parking and Internet service is free. The staff is generally friendly. The hotel has consistently met my expectations. However, my expectations were not that high going in.
