I have been in this hotel several times when it was under the Days Inn banner, now the name is different but it remains the same, in fact it has improved several things are changing including new flat TV screen just started to be installed, service is friendly, rooms are good size and clean, I know it is not a 5 start hotel but it is good for business stays and families

We chose to stay here because it was close to a highway which meant we could get to many of the attractions in LA/Hollywood easily. The area felt safe even at night. There is a Walgreens/CVS or Ralph's in every direction from the hotel, but you definitely need a car.

Room:
- It was an old room but it was very well maintained and very clean
- We had one king size bed which was very comfy and the housekeeping did a great job
- The room is spacious, there is a separate dressing area where there is a large vanity mirror, counter space, coffee maker, fridge & lots of places to hang clothes up and store luggage. (see photos)
- The TV is an older model, but it worked and we were barely watched TV anyway
- Washroom is older but everything works fine
- Shower head is very low. I am 5'2" and it was just right. If you're any taller than me, it's going to be a challenge to shower.
- One morning we could hear the neighbour on the phone. We're not sure if it was coming through the wall or somehow through our phone - kinda wierd!

Hotel Common Areas:
- Parking is limited so if you are staying over a Friday or Saturday night, you might have to park on the street if you get back to the hotel late
- The driveway divides the larger section of the hotel from the other side (where we stayed). I found it fairly quiet, even when there were kids in the pool or down in the courtyard.
- No elevators so if you have heavy luggage (or a lot of it), request a room on the main floor
- Breakfast is great! It's not extravagant but it's just right - good muffins, cereals, waffles, juice, coffee, etc. They don't have a large selection but what they have tastes good
- Front Desk staff was very courteous. I had booked a non-smoking room but for some reason my reservation said smoking. When I explained it to the man at the front desk, he was more than happy to help me and tried to get me a corner room (because we were worried about noise)
- If you want a late night snack, Domino's delivers and they must be close by because they brought our order in 20 minutes!

This is a perfectly nice hotel to stay in while visiting the Hollywood area. We were able to reach Universal Studios very quickly and it is near other Hollywood sites. It also had access to a grocery store (Ralph's) within walking distance. You must drive to most things though, so don't expect to walk. There were not a ton of kid friendly restaurants nearby, but we were able to get pizza not too far away. There was also a McDonald's fairly close.

What I loved was that there were two big king beds in our one bedroom suite. That was great with 5 people. However the sofa bed was hard as a rock. There was free parking and that was perfect. However, parking is a little tight. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. For breakfast they have waffles, cereal, muffins, juice and coffee, bananas and apples. It is a small area but there are a couple of tables outside. The rooms are old but our suite was spacious if we didn't have the couch out into a bed. I would have preferred a two room suite however. It is always hard being in the same room with kids. The shower head was low. I felt safe in this hotel. However, there was a lot of street noise at night.

I would stay here again as it was a good value, but may look around for slightly more spacious accommodations with a family of 5.

We enjoyed our stay here very much while in the Los Angeles area. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. Parking is free. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed eating breakfast at the outside court yard tables with the weather being so nice. It was a safe area with drug/grocery store and restaurants near by. The Chinese Theatre was an easy drive just a few miles away. You can park there for $10 a day to take a tour or walk around. If you'd rather though Star Line Tours will pick you up at the motel. We took the Grand City Tour of Los Angeles which was an excellent 5 & 1/2 hour tour. We also went to the Sony Pictures Studios Tour. It was easy to get to by car and they have free parking. It was about a two hour walking tour and very interesting.
