I was relieved to find a Comfort Inn so close to Downtown Los Angeles, while travelling with my high school aged daughter on college visits. The property was well kept. Staff was excellent. Complimentary breakfast was as expected. We had no reservations, so we walked in. The front desk clerk summoned a housekeeper to show us 2 rooms. Since I had been shopping other hotels near the USC campus, I had a room rate in mind. The room rate of $116 was matched. Room amenities included a small refrigerator and microwave oven, which was perfect for our needs. We stayed on the third floor away from the elevator and stairs, so I felt quite safe (a deal breaker for a mom & daughter team). The hotel is located on a busy street, with a high school and grade school across the street, lots of retail store fronts and apartments line the street, so it's kind of loud. I did get surprised with a couple of small extra charges on our bill in addition to occupancy tax: 1) tourism levy & 2) saft w/td warrenty. We didn't use the safe, nor did I even know it was there.

Catching up on some reviews. I stayed here 6 months ago and I thought it was a great hotel! I will definitely return when I go back to LA. It was an easy VERY quick drive to Myan Theater (a fantastic club BTW). I just stayed one night but everything seemed just fine to me, clean, comfortable. I see some recent terrible reviews, but I had no issues whatsoever.

I stayed here on a business trip 3/15/12 I awoke the next morning to ROACHES on the ceiling and desks. This hotel was deplorable. The worst I have ever stayed at. Thank God my wife and kids were not with me.
They also stated a mysterious 2% tax would be added on which was unpublished and coulldnt be explained. Please avoid this hotel. It was like the crack infested drug hotels you would see on a movie.

The bathroom had alot of hair on floor,towels were dirty we had to go to the front desk and ask for new ones,we found a toothbrush by the bed,you can hear other people from other rooms and beds smelled funky,breakfast sucked too,for $110 is was not worth it.
