The Hilton is being renovated! I had an opportunity to stay on the recently renovated 6th floor of the hotel and it is fabulous. I spent 3 nights there on 2 separate stays while in LA. The renovated rooms were excellent, very modern. I loved the shower with the many different settings as I was having some back issues. The lobby and valet services were magnificient and they offered 3 different restaurants for cuisine. My 2nd stay was on a non-renovated floor. I see why they chose to renovate. It was outdated, however still comfortable. When the entire hotel is renovated it will be lovely. I would definitely stay there again!

There are some hotels that I keep coming back to . . . and the Hilton LA Airport is one of them. It's a well run hotel with excellent customer service, very close to the airport with frequent shuttle service and, on this visit, I was provided an upgrade to a two-room junior suite. The beds are super comfortable, two flat screen TVs, comfortable furniture, and, even though I had a smaller bathroom, there's a great shower. I am also a big fan of the Hilton Honors breakfast and evening lounge. While the lounge is rather small and sometimes a bit crowded, they serve a generous breakfast.

I have stayed here twice in the past 2 months and yes, they are undergoing an enormous renovation. Because of my status, I got a renovated room both times -- they are gorgeous -- high tech, great big flat screen, comfy beds, lots and lots of electrical outlets, clean carpets, etc. Internet worked perfectly, so I could get my work done. I love the executive lounge -- Mr. Smiley takes care of us well, and even at 10 minutes to closing the appetizers, he called down to have them replenished -- outstanding!!! The views from the lounge are nice -- planes taking off and landing. Gentle readers: yes it is an AIRPORT property -- meaning there will be airplanes nearby! I felt my room was very quiet. I dined in the restrauant for first time and was delighted. An attentive staff -- you have two choices -- either the Italian side or the American side. I chose Italian and had a lovely meal from appetizer, beverage, all the way to dessert (love the shot glass sized desert portions -- cuts down on the guilt -- "just perfect") Check in was a breeze, so was check out. I like to drop my rental off -- the valets are accomodating to watch it while I check in and run up to drop off my luggage. I then come back down and drive the rental car to nearby Rental agency. It's a nice 10-15 minute walk back, and I don't have a car to juggle in the am. Their shuttle service to LAX is good -- super busy, long line -- so give yourself extra time. They get you there quickly and with a smile. To sum: I love this property!

I stayed here with friends for a quick recent trip. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was large. We had an upgraded double room. Decor in halls was updated and clean and bright. All staff were friendly ad helpful. There was a lot of security in the halls, lobby, elevators, etc so we felt quite safe. We weren't sure if there had been incidents in the past to justify so much security but we had no issues as everyone was friendly and bright.

The chicken wings at the bar were quite good. Full amentities. Nice light breakfast in a lounge upstairs. Gym was a bit dated but adequate. Got used to the noise from the planes. Convenience was terrific for our short weekend trip.
