My family of four spent three nights at this hotel over the summer. We were vacationing and wanted to see the "usual" tourist attractions...Walk of Fame, Hollywood Blvd, Universal Studios, WB Studios, the beach, etc. This location was excellent, within 5-20 minutes of everything by car. The hotel itself has a kitsche feel to it, like old hollywood glamour. I felt like we were staying in an old style apartment rather than a hotel, and that gave it a homier feel. We have two teenage boys, ages 16 and 19, and the area was cool for them to hang out in. Close to the grove, the mall, theatres, etc. My 19 year old LOVED hanging out at Swingers, the coffee shop at the hotel. We enjoyed it as well, and their coffee was amazing! The hotel has a pool, but we didn't use it...too busy otherwise but it looked good. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Parking is onsite and convenient. This is a wonderful place to stay if you want a place of you "own" to use as a base for visiting L.A. We will definitely stay here again, and highly recommend. Our stay was great!

We chose the Beverly Laurel for its location and that worked out very well for the three of us. We were able to walk from our hotel to the museum and to other neighborhoods that we wanted to vist. The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable, but there were no extras in the room to make us feel more welcomed or taken care of . No coffee pot for tea or coffee in the room, no little hand lotion or conditioner. No complimentary breakfast and no coffee or computer in the lobby. The price was good and I would stay there again if I wanted to be in that location, but I would have realistic expectations.

We reached there , and were greeted by a gentleman, the check in was smooth. Parking was in the basement which was charged. Rooms were small but cozy. Overall very neat. Somehow was not as good as we expected it to be. Old construction.The day we left there was also a movie crew which was shooting in the pool.

Overpriced for a "hotel" it's a decent motel. Clean, with a courteous and helpful staff. Great location (near Beverly and Fairfax), and a decent coffee shop onsite. However, it's got only the very basics in comfort, and while an effort was made to fix things up, it's easy to tell that this is an older property in need of some modern upgrades. You will pay extra for parking, Internet access, and roll-away beds. Confusing stairways with the occasional odd smell wafting through.
