We stayed here for a 3 nights stay in November '11, the hotel is nice and staff friendly, could be a little be more well decorated. Breakfast must be improved. location is great.

From the minute we drove up, all staff members were friendly, courteous and extremly helpful. We were upgraded to the 16th floor with the most beautiful view of the San Fernando Valley. Watched an amazing 'moon' set the next morning. This hotel was so convenient, the shuttle takes you right to Universal Studio and to the Metro if you want to see Hollywood and its attraction is only one stop away....The buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner is fantastic! Dont miss it! I had gotten a cold and the staff were very accommodationg, getting me extra tea, and honey. The room was very spacious we had the corner Alcove, the bathroom was beautiful and the shower delightful. The only down side we felt being from New York, is the price for parking, and Internet service....come now...that was a bit much....should be inclusive!

We had a great stay at this hotel for five nights. The room was large and had a couch, sitting area, desk, hallway, separate bathroom, and view of Universal. Although we were facing the 101 the room was totally quiet and you would never know a freeway was right below. Staff was wonderful and always helpful. The continental breakfast that came with the room was delicious. The only issue we had was the inconsistency between waiters at the restaurant or lounge. We had vouchers from Hilton and each waiter explained the deal differently or delivered a different meal each time. We did not visit the gym or the business center, so cannot comment as others have in their reviews. Our room though, was full of electrical outlets, which was a terrific benefit since we have phones, cameras and laptops to recharge. Most hotel rooms have just one or two outlets, which becomes a pain. Self parking was also great, we always found a spot near the elevators. All in all, would highly recommend this hotel, especially at the reasonable rates they charge.

I stayed here for work and was surprised by the mediocrity of the property. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Everyone went the extra mile to help (When they could). However, there were several things that were downright poor: First and foremost was the gym. It is small and dark and dingy with only 7 cardiovascular machines. The TV's on several of these machines only displayed one or two channels. Second, the showers. We had about 150 in our group and for some strange reason the hotel ran out of hot water by 7 every morning. Last and most disappointing was the business center. The hotel charges $1 a page to print. No, not for high quality, high res color...that is for black and white. You can only imagine my shock when I needed to print a draft copy of my presentation that was a 100 pages. At this point I asked fro the General manager who was not available. I then left a message requesting he call me. I know your shocked to hear he did not call me back.

So, to sum it up. If you want to chat with a great staff and then stay in a very average hotel that is right on top of the 101 freeway and like to wake to the roar of traffic then this is your place...but make sure you also like to be gauged!
