After almost one year we returned to the Beverly Garland Hotel (Holiday Inn) for eight nights. As we drove onto the hotel's brick paved parking area, we were greeted at the lobby entrance by two incredible flaming heat lamps, twinkle lights in the trees and a welcoming fire burning in the lobby fireplace. The front desk staff were as friendly and efficient as ever and greeted us by name. They knew which room we wanted and had it ready immediately. Tula's, the hotel restaurant ,has undergone a miraculous change in it's decor and menu. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. It was warm enough to sit outside on the patio for breakfast and late in the evening at the bar. The hotel has a courtyard with little cabanas and the same type of flaming heat lamps that greeted us upon arrival . When we stayed before, the laundry facilities were not great, but they have changed the location and added two additional washers and dryers with lots of natural light and close to the pool.One night it rained and there were guests still in the pool and jacuzzi enjoying the pool area which has a lovely fireplace to sit beside and get warm. Our room was clean and well stocked with fluffy towels and the bed is one of the most comfortable.Our room attendant creatively arranged all our bathroom "stuff" and kept everything orderly during our stay. We really felt taken care of. The Pay Per View movies were not working one night, but that was OK because we had our iPads and WiFi was free! We can't recommend this hotel highly enough...it's our second home!

We are an Australian family three adults and two kids (8 & 11) stayed in the family suite. Great area we felt very safe. The free shuttle took us straight to Universal Studios or to the subway you can go to Hollywood walk of fame. The rooms were very lovely and had an old hollywood feel to them. The pool really made us feel glamourous!!! Just a short walk up the road was a large Ralphs (grocery store). The room is a queen bed in the open living are and a half wall conceals the bunks (each area has their own tv). we stayed here on the way into USA and on the way out. Great value for money....would definately recomend to everyone not just families

We had a relaxing stay before cruising. The hotel staff were particularly helpful and friendly. We were not too impressed with LA, as we are not interested in films or impressed with 'celebrities' perhaps it is not too surprising.
We did enjoy our stay in this hotel.

As a family of 5, it's hard to find a hotel where we can accommodate all of us in the one room. We stayed in the kids suite which had a partition which separated us from the kids and they had their own tv. Restaurant was also very friendly with all kids meals free with paying adult. Location is great if u plan on going to universal but bit isolated otherwise. Big supermarket on the corner where we got groceries to eat in room most mornings. Clean sacios room and very affordable.
