We chose this hotel thinking about the conveneience of the location being close to the airport and it bring part of the Hilton chain. The Hilton should be ashamed to have this location affiliated with them. I've stayed at many embassy suites before and have loved each one. This one however, not so much!
We checked in and the front desk did not have very good customer service. They were having a personal conversation so our presence was not acknowledged. When we finally did checked in and went to our room to unpack, we discovered roaches in the bathroom. And I don't mean just one or two but roaches in the sink, the drain, the vent on the ceiling and the walls. It was awful!!
We called the front desk and they did not seem surprised by this at all. So they moved us to a room 4 doors down, right next to the elevator. So naturally we didn't get much sleep.
Desperate for coffee the next morning we went down for the complimentary breakfast. That's when we found bugs crawling in the cups. We left the food and went to our room to clean up and pack up. That's when we seen the roaches in that room. We ran out of there and went to the front desk, where again, good customer service must not be required. The manager said they usually charge a $35 early check out fee. After much discussion that fee was waived and we were given 50% off our nights stay. I would NOT reccomend this location to anyone, not even an enemy!

Overall this is a good place to stay if you have just gotten off a long flight. I had just come from London and was totally beat! The room provided me with the perfect place to relax and crash after the long trip. You can hear some noise from the airport, but in my case it didn't bother me a bit. The Manager I dealt with when checking in was really helpful and made the check in process easy. Would recommend especially because of comfort level and proximity to LAX.

This Embassy Suites is located very close to LAX. Yes, that means you are going to hear jet noise all night long. This can be overcome to some degree with ear plugs but it is hard to get a restful sleep here. The other significant problem is that the garage space is very undersized and cannot accommodate as many cars as the guests have. On two nights, the manager directed us to park in "No Parking" zones and on a third night we had to park on the street. Embassy Suites actually charges for this parking space "lottery." I would only recommend this hotel if you arrive in LA after a long flight want a place to crash that has an airport shuttle. To be fair, this property has been updated to escape the 1980's look many Embassy Suites seem stuck in. The rooms have contemporary decor and are large and quite pleasant. The room layout is a good choice for families with kids. As with all ES, the breakfast is a good value with a variety of choices and plenty of food.

Brandon at front desk Fri1/21/12 assisted me in getting a direct ride from Hertz rental car return right back to hotel. Hertz provides a mini-van at rental return. Just tell the Hertz agent what hotel you are staying and you get a ride right back to hotel.
