We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights so that we could attend some events at the Staples centre and surrounding places. We were a bit cautious due to the cheap prices and lack of photos but we very pleasantly surprised. Very short walk to everything, Staples centre, Ralphs supermarket, Denny's etc. Room size was good and there is paid parking next door if you need it. Staff were helpful too.

I object to it being called a flophouse. Ok, there are long term guests. And, ok, the guests were not all that well bathed. But to be in Downtown LA, 6 blocks from the Staples Center, and the LA Convention Center, and with a price just a fraction of the Ritz-Carlton, I enjoyed having a place. The room was very clean. I would suggest this hotel to anyone who asked.

Contrary to the previous reviwer, this hotel is neither filthy nor dangerous. It is no-frills but that is reflected in the price. It is very clean although slightly dilapidated.This area of Downtown is perfectly safe. Frankly, I think the previous reviewer is either insane or workiing for a rival operator.

This hotel is nothing more than a flophouse which preys on unwary tour groups and degenerate transient tenants. It is difficult to imagine the intelligence level (or hygiene consciousness) of anyone who would recommend it. It is filthy and dangerous.
