I stayed here because of the best western name and seemingly reasonable price, but the tax and charge for parking makes the original listed price much lower than what you end up paying. Rooms are not very nice. Old carpeting, extremely small bathroom, uncomfortable bed and pillows. I definitely will not stay here again.

As a platnum BW rewards member my wife and I have stayed in a lot of Best Western hotels. This however was more of a private hotel on the wrong side of the tracks. As part of the China Town appeal. or to save money they didn't carpet the rooms. The bathroom was not much bigger than the entry door was wide. The room was large, but looked rather emty because of the lack of carpet. When I asked the front desk about an upgrade I got no response. I would not stay at this property again.

I was looking for a cheap but clean place to stay for just one night. I found the Best Western Dragon Gate Inn. Large room and right in the middle of where I needed to be. For what I paid, the other choices were all non name brand properties. I was a bit hesitant to book at the Best Western Dragon Gate Inn because the price didn't make sense. How could it be as low as the other non franchise properties. I thought perhaps it was really run down. It turns out I was wrong. The room was larger than I expected and the staff was really really nice. I asked the cute young lady why it was so cheap and she said that sometimes when reservations start to slow down the manager will sell just enough rooms to fill the place to keep the maids working. I thought that was very nice of them to think about their employees during such a tough economic time. Anyways, breakfast was nice, room was nice so what more can you ask for. I enjoyed my stay and will be back.

The biggest advantage of staying in this hotel is the Thai Massage centre located within the same property owned and run by a Thai lady. She rocks. It is a purely genuine place for a very nice and genuine massage at a fairly good price. I had a three hour session there.
The rooms in the hotel are horrible, breakfast is from a kiosk and is very substandard. I feel it is a smudge on Best Western's reputation to have given accredition to such properties. The china town is very silent unlike the others and there is no room view at all.
